@pianissima I'm not close minded, I think Smash Bros is a fantastic game series, and I've given tourneys a chance. But even if you just listen to some of these hardcore Smash players speak, it's incredibly cringe inducing. One particular fellow was this guy over 6' and well over 200 lbs, with the thickest beard I've ever seen, who commented on "the incongruous lack of wave dashing and l canceling" and proceeded to call me and my friend things that would get censored out on this site. That's not the only time too, just generally playing with these people, they're really hostile even among some of the more seasoned players. If you're less experienced like me you're a filthy casual and a disgrace to their "smash establishment" and if you're someone like my friend who brought me to the tournament who's pretty good you're "a tryhard nerd with no life". They're just generally really awful people taking a children's game waaaaaay too seriously for their own good.
