@pianissima There's a difference between taking something seriously and something way too seriously though. They don't know where to draw the line. And I don't think it's a low point at all to use appearance, the guy had a complete disregard for self respect and hygiene, I can't be blamed for noticing that. And it's mot made exclusively for children but it is child friendly, therefore a children's game (not that there's anything wrong with playing a children's game, mind you). And it might be more local, but Smash fans I've met online are generally no better, I haven't met a hardcore Smash player online or offline that I've liked or at least not been annoyed by. The reason Smash will never be taken seriously as an esport is because of its awful community, not because it's an esport.
