  1. @monstertdi They're in a way both popular and underground. The thing is that they never really marketed themselves and have been incredibly sporadic with the way they release their music, so nearly all their success has come from word of mouth. It's really just that, for the short time they were active, they managed to continually drop some of the most genre defying and boundary pushing music of the past few years that was both challenging to the listener and unique in its aesthetic. The group themselves adopted a very DIY aesthetic and seldom did any interviews, so there's a lot of mystique around their personas too. (Like, with the exception of drummer Zach Hill, they pretty much appeared out of nowhere). Fantastic group nonetheless though, I've been hyping on Jenny Death for some time now and I'm very happy it's confirmed.
