@yodelerty As someone who has dealt with (and to some extent still deals with) issues of self image I can tell you that it's really easy to look at yourself in a mirror and notice all the small, insignificant flaws everywhere and just feel horrible about yourself. It's a lot easier to just tell yourself you're not good looking than to try and convince yourself you are, or at least to some margin. I know what's it's like to be completely unsatisfied with the person you are, and to desperately wish you were someone else. Sometimes you really do need someone else to step in and say "Hey, you're actually pretty good looking" or "you're handsome/attractive". Because other people can see you without that lens of self doubt and anxiety, so when we say we find you good looking we really do mean it.
