@herbalgreen What's funny is that when the flame-wars began long ago between artists and educators using Apple and everyone else using the PC, there were two differing processors, the Intel and clones of it (like AMD) and the Motorola CPUs used in the Macintosh. Microsoft ripped off the GUI (or did they both just steal one from DEC? whetever); GNU+Linux ripped off Microsoft's market share; Apple shoved the new-comer to free, open-source software into their basket by using the Intel and AMD chips and BSD Unix.
