An accident? Clayton Brumby's actions constitute outright negligence as far as I am concerned. His blatant disrespect for basic gun safety has resulted in his son's death. Not only should this man face charges, but his firearms should be confiscated, and he should be classified as a prohibited person. I have had hot casings land in my shirt on several occasions, and in every one of them, the first thing I did was safely set the gun down on the shooting table/bench before dancing around and trying to get the hot casing out of my shirt. Are people in the firearms community going to take a more "Swiss" approach to things, or are we going to continue this asinine "free for all" that can only eventually result in draconian anti-gun legislation eventually being passed?
