Taking the train was a mistake. I had a company event next city (about 60km) and I thought it was not a bad idea to use the opportunity to declare my train fare to my expenses and let my company pay instead of me paying for gas. Also the event was near the train station, so it seemed to be a no-brainer. HOWEVER. Deutsche Bahn was in total chaos. Not only due to the heat wave, but also due to construction work on the way, but also a police incident on another train that delayed many other trains. Ah.. My train was cancelled and I had to use another "earlier" train but it got heavily delayed. I had a delay of 40 minutes. On my way back I had only 20 minutes. What a joke of a piece of infrastructure.
