    In my head, the way the US governments buys aircraft and vessels for defence is some guy pulls up to a drive-thru, a voice crackles over the intercom and says 'Hi! Welcome to the DoD! How can I help you?', the guy looks at a menu and goes 'uhhhhm, I'll take 2,433 F-35s, 30 Virgina class submarines, six fleets of V-22s, four fleets FA-18-EFS, and another fleet of EA-18Gs', then the guy on the intercom says 'Okay, that'll be 137 billion dollars. Please pull around to the second window'.
