@abigpony It's like you've said "Everyone I know with blue eyes is really smart, therefore, only people with blue eyes should have kids". There's no link between your selection criteria and the result you want. It runs deeper than that though, the incorrect criteria you are USING is actively detrimental to the goal you're trying to achieve. By making blanket statements like "All the new users are dicks" is ONLY going to turn away new people who /aren't/ dicks, because they're the only ones who actually care about trying to integrate. The oblivious people who don't care about integrating are going to miss your cue and hang around.
