@pandabear It's definitely a contender for my metal album of the year. Indian's From All Purity was also really damn incredible, the last time I heard a recording so incredibly crushing was when High on Fire dropped De Vermis Mysteriis back in 2012.
-
@pandabear I love Opeth but Pale Communion wasn't my favourite by them, it was a good record but really wore its influences on its sleeve.
-
@pandabear The new Woods of Desolation is probably my favourite metal record to come out all year
-
At some point I somehow became @Pandabear's mistress. I don't undersand my own life anymore.
-
@pandabear What we have is even better <3
-
@pandabear Oh, then what was the joke?
-
@pandabear OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Are you reffering to how many internet comedians appear to be redundant? YES!
-
@pandabear The redundancy is funny in that.
-
@pandabear XD Ok!
-
@pandabear I already am
-
@pandabear Hmmm,, Sure! Go ahead!
-
@pandabear I especially love their newer stuff, I love how it's all so overproduced!
-
@pandabear Yeah, to be fair it didn't blow my expectations out of the water but I had high hopes since I absolutely loved the debut. Hard hitting futuristic beats and really incredible flow from both emcees. Also, El-P and Killer Mike just have really great synergy and I loved how they were able to play off each other on the record and bounce back and forth from verse to verse. It gave the album a very immediate feel but it still had enough depth to retain entertainment value on repeated listens. Plus it was well paced and didn't overstay its welcome so it left me refreshed with a good taste in my mouth (or ear, I guess). Hyped for RTJ2.

@pandabear U2 is the Big Room House of Rock music
-
@pandabear I thought it was really tight. El-P's playing around with the production a lot more, but even with more abstract instrumentation the track is still resoundingly hard hitting.
-
@pandabear Oh, Either George Carlin, Gabriel Iglesias, Emo Philips, or Mitch Hedberg.
-
@pandabear Have you heard the new Run the Jewels track?
-
@pandabear AHhh, I have heard the name, but, I don't recall any skits... Is he the one who did the "Liberation of the Shower"?
-
@pandabear Aye, I will change the subject. Who is your favorite comedian?
-
@pandabear Rational? You know why? Geeze, are you ok?
-
@pandabear Oh, that makes more sense.
-
@pandabear *scratches head* Ehhh, what?
-
@pandabear Aye. Anxiety?
-
@pandabear ~I don't wanna die but I wanna be buried, meet me at the gates of the cemetery~
-
@pandabear Oh. I will lay off the crazy for a bit tonight. a'ight?
-
@pandabear Oh, Right. SOrry for that.
-
@pandabear Yeah, this is all pretty much my initial thoughts. Also, on the topic of records growing on me, I've been really digging the new DFA1979 a lot more after repeated listens.
-
@pandabear Don't tell me what to do!
-
@pandabear I know that feel. Wait... WHY DO I KNOW THAT FEEL?! WHO ARTE YOU!?
-
@pandabear What was so interesting about An Awesome Wave was that it was able to cleverly fuse fuzzy psychedelic guitar-play with indie pop vocal melodies, along with a dash of folk influence and it all culminated very nicely. It was a breath of fresh air and an exciting record to say the least. This Is All Yours really boosts the the folk instrumentation and it all feels a lot more jammy as well, which is to say the least worthy of applause as a new direction. But good ideas are nothing without good execution, and I feel there's just too much to take in within a single sitting, so I'll listen to it some more tomorrow.
