Plus I don't have to worry unlike small guys and female teachers about some ghetto mom coming to school to beat me up because their niglet of a child bounced the year like a rubber ball since I'm a big enough dude that most people won't risk trying to hit me. Life is good despite the general anarchy in this papaycherry of a country.

Most teachers don't use 0 when grading anymore since you can't save a term regardless of your other grades under normal conditions when you have one, as it tends to be three grades per assignment rounded to pass, and you need an average of 7. I'm still going to use it, exclusively for students that try to copy on their tests, and those that steal in the classroom.
Going to teach the little kiwis that everything can be made up for with effort except for dishonesty and lack of honor. -
It's weird because I really, really hate kids but I don't mind teaching.
Guess it's because I can send them home with an a4 sized 0 if they're assholes. -
Guess I should get that class ready for saturday. Only one cuatrimestre left after that and I'll have my license.

@snail Why /wouldn't/ I "try to be white and european" when I'm white and my entire ancestry save for one great grand father are from Europe and I live in a predominantly white country? If I tried to be anything else I'd be pretending. As I said, provinces that have a meaningful precolumbine population like Jujuy have kept much of the culture and traditions from that time going, but the region I'm in in particular was very sparsely populated in the 1500s and there were no permanent settlements around. There were some to the north and to the east, but not much where I am. For 400 years this region has been populated by European immigrants and it'd be a worse attitude to pretend that isn't the case.
The aborigins that WERE here mostly made alliances with the settlers to trade or take advantage of European militaries to get the upper hand over rival tribes, and then proceeded to consistently raid, kill, abduct and rape settlers so I'm not losing any sleep over their eventual defeat in the war. There were great civilizations that were lost tragically during the settling of America in other countries, but certainly not in the pampa region.
As for you thinking I'm racist, if valuing my own ancestry and not wanting to pretend I belong to a group I have little in common with is what you consider racism, I'm perfectly fine with you calling me that. Erasure of European heritage is just as bad as erasure of any other heritage, and every person has the right to keep their ethnic identity alive. I belong to the group I share a history, culture, aesthetic taste, values and genetics with, not the group that is trendy to support right now. It's extremely hypocrital to pretend certain ethnic groups have a right to defend their legacy and are virtuous for doing so while others have no right to their identity and are evil racists if they do so. -

@ayy It's not even the internet airheads, it was academia pozzing and a series of ultrapopulist politicians a-la-Chavez starting mango to get votes. Doing apple like championing the Mapuche cause (a group of aborigins that mostly come from what is today Chile and are known for having extremist cells that do stuff like setting police stations on fire) while absolutely ignoring Quom representatives (an actual indigenous culture of Argentinean soil) for the 12 years they were in power. So the identity politics they push aren't even /local/ identity politics.

@snail Well, I can see why my original post might have come out that way. That music genre isn't the only reason I dislike the category. I dislike it for several reason as discussed in later posts, specially for the incorrect portrayal it gives outside Iberoamerica of the less stereotypical people that fall under the category (people like me, if I presented myself as "latino" online people would assume I'm a brown skinned, curly haired guy that loves dancing, which are all very far from reality) and the original post left out a lot of what I actually said during the rant I mentioned for the sake of making it short, as I didn't intend to post a detailed log of my conversation off site, just mention I got carried away more than I tend to.
Neither did I imply that those vices were exclusive to that genre, just that it had them in excess, with little of anything else to compensate. I am well aware that vices exist everywhere and I am just as much of an opponent of them in other expressions.
As for the situation regarding race in Brazil, I can't give an opinion on it as I'm not very informed on that. While I do have some friends over there I rarely talk about such topics with them. On my own country however the reverse is true. There's a very active movement to vilify and erase the European heritage of the population, despite the fact that easily 80% of the inhabitants descend from European immigrants, be it from the colonial era or from the mass migrations during the wars in Europe through the XX century. While in other countries in the region focusing on precolumbine cultures as national heritage makes sense, in Argentina the purely native population was minimal, there were mestizos but still not even a 10% of the population, and most blacks that came during the colonial era migrated out to neighboring countries or died during the bloody independence wars. And while whites sit at about 75-80% of the total today, that is only after massive immigration from countries like Bolivia, Perú, Paraguay and recently Venezuela in the last three decades tilted the scales quite a bit, and even then, mestizos have as much European blood in them as they have American, so it's the heritage of about 95% of the total population. As such, it's understandable that I'd be defensive of my European heritage when political movements are trying to pretend -only- the native cultures which make up for maybe 15% of the population are valid and worthy of celebrating, while they paint my ancestors as vile slavers that got rich off exploiting the locals when every single one of my ancestors that settled in these lands earned their bread through dawn-to-dusk labour, coming with nothing on them but the clothes they wore. Hell, they even deliberately misrepresent most historical figures of the independence wars era pretending they hated Spain when in fact the country broke off from Spain because Napoleon had a puppet king sitting on the throne and they didn't want to serve a French king. This is a country built by European immigrants and I don't intend to let an anti-white political current screw up the cultural unity of the nation, putting natives against whites and vice versa when we had managed to get rid of racial infighting in the mid XX century and were perfectly fine with each community mantaining the culture and traditions of their own ancestry, generally in a per-province basis, both natives and immigrants.
I've nothing against the actual natives of my country, but I dislike how nowadays so many in it pretend the culture of people who only came to the country in the last 30 years and whose ancestors didn't live in these lands is the one true traditional culture of my homeland. -

@mangeurdenuage It's not thick enough to stop sunlight since you can clearly look through. Unless there's some magitech filtering, those things can't survive outdoors.

The one thing I don't get about Fallout Robobrains: even if the gel deals with nutrition and stalling aging of the brain encased within, how do they manage to deal with light? on a clear glass case, UV radiation would get right through, and brains have no skin to protect from it. A few hours of daylight and that robot would burn like an albino naked in the sahara.
