@dirb I don't hear nearly enough of the genre lately TBH.
-
-
@dirb I remember him recording this one that he'd sing to my mother when she was a kid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fu__Uoo0pQk

@dirb Spain has nothing to do with tango.
However yeah it's genetic, despite my aversion to music culture, got a lot of musicians in my family and my Spanish grandfather was an amazing singer and guitar player. One of my cousins is currently digitalizing and clearing a casette full with flamenco songs my grandfather recorded. -
-
Apparently despite considering myself really bad at singing, according to others I'm fairly good at singing Tango. Surprising.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUOMI

@lizzeboof @roka Great year. Running after school to reach a cybercafe and play warcraft 3 or underground 2 against classmates for the hour before workshop class.
-
@orekix Well being fair, kicking humanity back through the stone age through mangoty economics and urban warfare would stop man-made climate change.

@dankwraith Let's be honest, you can skip text posts you don't like just fine even at work or on the bus, but you can't scroll past nudes or porn without people being able to tell what it is. So like it or not, it's understandable to go about it that way. Plus if you start banning ideas, you need to nuke basically everything past pg-13 content to have any semblance of fairness.

@sadcatstarry There comes a point where you have to start silencing federated media just to stop pics of genitalia from showing up all over the tl.

@somem http://www.thebubble.com/the-chocobar-case-and-the-governments-new-police-doctrine-explained/ this gives some background on the case that triggered this.

@roko Guess it's different in your area. My family lived in the country up until my father's generation, and I still have lots of relatives over there, and people are very social and cooperative there.
-
@somem Oh, this isn't USA. People don't usually carry guns here. Crime in progress means robbery, hostage situation, etc. This by no means will justify a cop shooting a 6 year old playing cowboys. The issue is that until now cops had been extremely restricted in what they were allowed to do, and often had to let a criminal go after the criminal had stabbed or shot someone because the cop would face jail if they shot a criminal with their back turned towards the cop.
-
@roko Well, usually you'll live with your family but interact with the neighbours. Even in rural areas where there's miles between house and house you'll still interact with the rest of the community at least a few times a week, and will get together with most of them for festivities and market day.
