@josemanuel @shevek @xosem Creo que la racionalidad está en un punto medio. Concuerdo contigo en que hablar asi por quedar bien solo empeora el asunto, y pone el peso de la culpa en la sociedad, en lugar del delincuente, beneficiando a éste en detrimento de todo hombre inocente.
Por otro lado si es justo quejarse, desde un punto de vista serio, no uno feminista, de las muertes causadas por delito. Si, la mayoría de las muertes son por accidentes, enfermedad o vejez, pero la diferencia es que esas muertes son naturales y no pueden ser realmente evitadas de forma sistemática o mediante cambios sociales. Las muertes por delito en cambio si pueden evitarse, y sus causas deberían ser atacadas, no desvirtuando la tragedia con discursos políticos, sexismo, posts para quedar bien en redes sociales y demás, sinó por simple interés en el orden, la ley y el bienestar humano. -
@espectalll Irrational hatred is the telling trait of poor quality individuals. As I see it, it's better to prioritize the defense of those they'd attack than to bother trying to convince someone who doesn't want help. A victim is more important than a perpetrator.
Regardless of how sad the current situation might be for the overall image of the human species, the underlying cause should be addressed after making sure these racists lack the power to harm any innocents. Going the other way around it will just mean losses that could have been avoided. -

@espectalll And, I think it's worth mentioning, I'm not talking about the minority that'll develop their own values regardless of their background, which are a very real group. Just the average individual.
A cultural/religious background will determine the way a majority of individuals raised there will think and act, but doesn't mean some people from that background will eventually find their own beliefs, having higher than average individuality. -
@espectalll Well, I'd consider each denomination of a religion a separate case, regardless of their faith in the same deity. Same with culture over different regions. Not all of christianity is the same religion, much like not all of asia is the same culture, to give some examples.
I generally try not to associate too much with individuals whose values and sense of right and wrong come from their background rather than conscious choice though. -
@espectalll I don't think you'll get much success trying to appeal to the public that'd consider that a funny joke. You'd have more luck convincing someone in the KKK about reconsidering their view, as they're at least honest about being racist, than these hypocrital closet racists that ooze hatred for the white race off every pore but will vehemently deny that they're racists.
They'll go as far as making up new meanings for the word "racism" just to claim that their hatred for an ethnic group is not racism, so any attempt at reason will just be met with chants of "you're a nazi" -
@espectalll Skin color? nah. Culture and religion? yes. Those things affect thought and values, so they have a direct impact on an individual's behaviour. The same person with different values can be a great person or an absolute asshole.

@freemo Thankfully no. GNUsocial, soon to be migrated to plemora. It's a common thing though, and even if the messages correctly deleted themselves, were I looking at the timeline actively and tried to reply, I'd get errors when trying to, and in general it'd be very annoying.

@freemo Should, but with federation and all that I end up seeing if not retaining the three.
Honestly the ideal way to deal with typos is to just make a second message correcting the first one rather than attempting to delete and redo. Skips a lot of trouble and is less confusing -

@awl @sullybiker The issue with the older Mausers in cost is that they're chambered in 7,92x57mm, a fairly rare round nowadays. Kinda annoying for reload too since it's jacketed.

Anyone of the Fediverse have a Mauser 98, either a gewehr98 or m98? Looking in to getting one and wonder how they fare far as a bolt-action. Hopefully I’ll find a range that has one

@noyoushuttheappleupdad @why The issue is that they keep putting sword characters in there. If they went with some more variety like throwing Ephraim and Hector in there it'd be much more fun, as the playstyles would be completely different to the ther cookie cutter units.
