  1. Could go out tonight, primarily to do some photography, but I'm so not in the mood to take pictures. No motivation equates to kiwity pictures. Think I'll stay inside this evening.

  2. @gangstashy I spent a lot of time brushing it, getting all the knots and tangles out, then I wet it using really hot water, put some conditioner in it, rinsed it out, again with really hot water, towel dried it, then I brushed it some more, to get all of the knots and tangles from drying out of it. Then I laid her on her side (aww yea) and brushed her hair out straight, and cut a strip of a paper towel to put around her hair (so as to absorb the water), then put some foil around the paper towel (to keep it rigid). Let it dry, brush again, and POW, straight pony hair. Or as straight as you can get it.

  3. Done did up mah pony's hairs today. Got some work to do, but I'm new to pony hair styling. http://ur1.ca/50zk5

  4. @abigpony But if ya all want some budget mic reccos, I'd be happy to assist. I know it's so camp to say 'happy to assist', but I really like engineering and mics, so getting to talk mics is a lot of fun for me.

  5. @abigpony I don't sell old mics, a lot of people do, but I like to keep mine around. If I get a sound I like with my mics, and I wanna replicate it, I'll know how, so I keep 'em around.

  6. @abigpony 'fraid not, I said the opposite, though I did link you to some cheap CAD ICM417s, which are mics I like and have experience with.

  7. So I have this habit of constructing depressing stories from anything, and while I was managing my Dash's hair today, I thought that somewhere out there is a girl that has Dash, and just Dash. She ran into the pink aisle while she and her negligent mother were at Target, the mother just letting her run wild. The kid wanders down the pink aisle sees Dash, and ends up carrying her around looking at it. Her mother begrudgingly buys it, and she loves Dash. She thinks Dash is awesome and makes up all these adventures for her. She doesn't know about show 'cause her family can't afford cable, so she doesn't know about all of Dash's awesome friends and all the cool stuff she does. She doesn't even know much about other pony toys, she just has Dash. Occasionally she tires to make Dash's hair prettier with her mothers conditioner and hairspray, but always gets yelled at for it, and playing with Dash, and making her hair pretty is her recluse from her tumultuous home life.

  8. I spent a few hours today futzing with pony hair, and it has made me excited for new G4 toys. With the Mane Six, and Cheerilee, I have a preconceived notion of what they're supposed to look like, but when I snag ponies like Blossomforth, Cupcake, Dewdrop Dazzle, and Lulu Luck, there isn't much of a representation telling me what they're hair is supposed to look like, it'll all be up to me! And that'll be awesome.

  9. @rainbowflash That's when you smack him and exclaim 'BECAUSE PONIES, deal w/it', then you put your shades on and walk out.

  10. @rainbowflash There's a HUUUUUUUUUGE version of it floating around the interwebs, big enough to get a 24x36 print at 300dpi.

  11. Man, Cake is an awesome band. Accidentally started listening to Prolonging the Magic, their music is so...endearing in a Calvin & Hobbes sort of way. It's great.

  13. I could have sworn I saw a version of the Comic Con poster that had all the colour taken out and was just lineart. This was on tumblr this morning, but I can not find it. Is this a thing, or is it just something I imagined when I woke up?

  14. @abigpony You are you. I can prove it because you're you. Pow, proof. What now?

  15. @thetundraterror There's a reason some people are paid to write and most people aren't, and the people who get paid to write sure as Shire talk don't write fanfcition.

  16. At school we had to use boom mics to 'interview' a fellow a student, it was a one-day assignment, get it and complete it day of. I decided to be a total jackass with mine. Here's what happened; http://soundcloud.com/doctormowinckel/daniel-walstrom-lost-interview

  18. @musicssound The last note's the winner, the last 'everythiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing', I shouldn't have done that so loud.

  19. @musicssound I dunno, people tell me I have an accent, but I don't hear it. I am of course, Canadian, and oblivious to any accent I may or may not have.

  20. @thelastgherkin That last note hurt my ears. I did not hold back, at all. If I could sing I'd have one heck of a voice! Instead, this happens.

  21. @starshine Yeah I can't hide the fact that I'm Canadian. It takes people about two minutes, or less to figure out I'm Canadian.

  22. @musicssound I do have a pony podcast in the works, posted a mic out to one of my friends and the alpha episode should be going live before season two starts.

  24. So I just recorded myself singing So Many Wonders. It's pretty horrible (which was the idea), it is against my better judgment to upload this to anything.

  27. @starshine It doesn't, but sometimes you'll fall behind on a conversation, click the 'in context' link, and there will be hundreds of messages to sort through, and it's very meh.

  28. @mrdragon The forums have devolved into nothing but 'talk about yourself' threads, where people go in, make a post about themselves, and leave. There's no conversation.
