@rarity As long as I stop bringing the family along and eating there every time I can spare a few bucks per visit for some games. It's like two blocks from my work too
-
@rarity Well it's just a Dave & Buster's but I suppose it's better than the alternatives around here
-
Tempted to go to the arcade after card games tomorrow and maybe if I do I can bring something to hold up my phone with and take a video
-
lmao I got it to where the public outrage was going down during a public outrage event

Played ten sets of DDR A today (including 3 of doubles) and caused the machine to crash once. I also passed my second 14 by a hair (and failed another one on the last note) which means I might be improving!

Only downside is a lot of the available work (especially remote) is contract jobs so there's a lot of job hunting involved

@tiffany Well, if you ever decide computers >= social life, the web industry has a low barrier to entry and often has work-from-home opportunities lol
-
@redenchilada That said, the mentality of "you NEED a college education" is pretty toxic in general. It definitely helps for some industries, but going just because you were coerced leads to nothing but debt. (My dad has a 4yr in something architectural/electrical that he didn't really wanna get, and he didn't gain a thing out of it.)
-
@tiffany Depending on your industry/location of choice, sure. I mean, I have no college and less than a year of work experience and I'm already making good pay with lots of benefits (and near-constant pay raises!), but that was a combination of lucking into a workplace that was willing to take a risk with me and the web development field being INCREDIBLY lucrative right now, so
-
Notable things:
- Somehow got an FC that was C-rank (it probably helps that goods are considered combo in A now lmfao)
- Got my first AA(-) I think? but I forgot to get a picture
- Played a bunch of X-scale 13s and I think I'm getting a bit more consistent at scoring?Saturday, 27-Aug-16 06:01:10 UTC from web -
I played DDR A for seven hours and I'm still breathing funny from it because I'm an out-of-shape nerd

Remember when I was only pretending to be gay?
-
DDR-type games are way more fun with other people, because I can play stupidly hard Fluffle Puff, and if I fail, I can just step away and someone else will flail around like an idiot trying to hit the arrows

Toenail clippers are really good at removing the plastic tags they secure plushies to cardboard with without damaging the plush. They're less good at handling ribbon knots embedded deep into the shoulder but it kinda worked out http://pny.lv/0rk2v
