@shogun I was told by someone who went to the con in California that theirs was packed an standing room only. Even if the turnout isn't quite that big, and of your not big on furry, a daily badge won't be a waste. As someone who's gone to FWA for a few years, I can tell you that they've got over 70 kinds of board games to play, the best video game room I've seen at any con, plenty of artists who would be happy to draw you ponies, and nightly dances that put some of Atlanta's night clubs to shame. I'm really excited for it.

@kimren As far as I know, there are only two dedicated Brony cons in the us (BronyCon in NY, ad now Everfree North Weat in Oragon). Chicago has a comic convention in early Aug that you could probably meet some fellow pony fans at. Check out www.WizardWorldComicCon.com. There are There are FiM lovers all over. You just have to know how to connect to them :)

@cabal What ever it is, that program their kids told them to run instead of running the Internet when they connect on American Online. (Sorry, I hear this from my parents all the time, too. Sad testament to the level of computer expertise in my family to think that I somehow wound up the family "computer person".)

Looks like it's possible that the site problems were due to us exceeding the daily quota for the geolocation service we used. Or a DoS attack. Or both! 9.6

@colfax I disabled the geolocation plugin for now. Let's see if it helps. If so, I can probably implement a local geolocation proxy. That'd cut down on the number of requests we send.
