!vancouverbronies Hey all! Pardon the repost. I need some help. I'm trying to get a hold of a UBC Engineers Red Jacket (size small, with a custom name badge) to give as a gift to an Alumnus. Problem is I'm way over on the East Coast in the US. Any chance I can enlist one of you to do the footwork for me (I'll cover all expenses)? It's for Bronycon, so too much later in the month and I won't be able to get it together in time.

@bronymike !vancouverbronies Don't get me started on China. The 1980s China Central Television Journey to the West series had a beheading with blood and a missing head... and this was family entertainment cause it was part of the legend of one of the greatest stories in Chinese History.

@spectrumflash either @bronymike is too busy to notice the forum or he's ignoring it... I still believe the forum has a shot of being the one the majority of us use. Do put a sticky in the events section though to say to always share any events organized through the forum on RDN as well.

@spectrumflash Yeah, that's helpful. I have it set to my RSS feed checking system so I don't need to ever actually check RDN, updates just come up as I browse normally.

@spectrumflash Heck yeah. I've got the Firefox RSS Ticker add-on and when someone types something to the Vancouverbronies group it scrolls along. Forum's still definitely a good idea though.

@jackzhang Yeah, that's definitely how they do it. On the first post of each topic, there's a 'last edited by <moderator name>' in there.

@jackzhang Yup... Just enabled the setting for that (and fixed the Cos & Effect event that you no doubt wanted to span multiple days ;)

@spectrumflash BTW, can't post topics yet, if it is the same permission based thing where an Admin has to allow someone to post after registering (RainRat does this over on BC Furries) We may need more than one admin (but I'm personally not keen on approving posting privileges)

!bcbronies :Okay, from the looks of things, there is a conflict of interest everywhere, Out of the 23rd of 24th, I would prefer the 24th though would like the 16th. SO you 23rd 24th prople discuss which date you guy prefer and if you think it is feasible, go for the 16th. I will make the final desicion on sat at the meetup if I make it.

@underdogbassist !vancouverbronies As far as I know, there aren't any poll feature on RDN. I personally think Facebook are better for organizing event and RDN are better for announcement. Or maybe there are hidden function that I didn't know RDN has.

I snagged the structure from the bcfurries one because it actually makes a good deal of sense (and I could easily see how it was done, since it's on my machine too). @thepuzzldpirate !vancouverbronies I was thinking Fraser Foreshore Park in Burnaby might be a nice spot for something at some point. I used to work near there. The 116 (runs from Metrotown to Edmonds) goes right by it.

@thepuzzldpirate !vancouverbronies However, out of the two available right now, I'd vote for Kits because it is easier to get to by transit. You get off at Burrard Skytrain and take the 32 bus towards Dunbar. You just get off at the pool.
