  8. ugh - I'm beginning to fear this files copying won't even finish before I have to leave... that's worse than suboptimal :( I'm also beginning to fear my portable HDs won't have enough space left for photo backup on the road; which means I'll have to buy new portable drive(s) somewhere :( and do somethng about storage at home when I get back. # # # #

I just 'transplanted' my two photo drives from Marie to Nikola - somewhat nerve-wracking as Marie was (as usual) complaining about drives being busy (could only have been indexing = reading) - they took a loooong time to appear, and then a long time to get mounted. Now copying files to one drive and that's slooow too. :( (251 hours left???) I'll need a better solution for storing my photo files, this is getting outdated. I'd better go out tobuy some !beer while files are being copied... # # #
