Good morning !tzag !fediverse Interesting weather... last night rain slowly turned into snow, and it got white but by the time I went to bed the snow had turned into wet snow and was already melting. This morning most of the snow already had melted away but just now we suddenly got a new shower, this time with tiny hailstones, turning things white(-ish) again. Sort of wintry weather, but it might as well be March, too... I'll make another cup of !coffee to combat by confusion then.

Hurray, another of the series of warm hats I ordered (from a #Chinese website, correctly predicting it would get cold here) has arrived. This one with "collar" thing to accompany it. Classy grey knit wear, with a warm black fake-fur lining. Especially classy, since the hat has a label stitched on, saying: "SONG TING, THE POIENER OF FHSAIHNO RENDTS". So now you know: I'm a #poiener, too! (If anyone in the !fediverse has any idea how to translate the rest, I'd love to hear it!) #chinglish

Final note for today: I think I've *finally* solved my internet connection problems (with wicd on Ubuntu): When I arrived in Amsterdam the line connection worked perfectly, not a beep from the WiFi connection, and now back in Groningen I got the line connection working (and seemingly stable) when I arrived, and also not a meep from WiFi! I think the crucial option is to NOT set any of the possible WiFi connections to "Automatically connect" and make sure the line connection is set to "Default". (What confused the heck out of me is that at first I had *both* Line and WiFi connections on - but now they are mutually exclusive. So if WiFi is set to 'Automatically connect" it will take over as soon as it can, even from a#networking #line #wifi - and with that happy finding i say goodnight !tzaf to you all !fediverse !tempfix

Good morning !tzag !fediverse !tempfix - I just managed to "dig out" the missing pieces (and accessories) of my new camera. I'd taken the camera and lens to Groningen already but could not find the rest (battery, battery loader, filters...); they'd all gotten lost in the chaos of boxes in Amsterdam. So, I'll break my back again lugging all that (and papers, lots) to Groningen, but I'm happy :)

It was *cold* - freezing cold - when I went to the Chinese takeaway. Now, it's snowing! that will give pretty scenes, but unfortunately most likely delays for the raiways, too - and I need to go to Amsterdam #tomorrow. Well, we'll see.
