"reality is that #freenet patch breaks the network as soon as more than a few % run it. And this is the case, which is why the freenet #network is almost completely #broken right now." http://draketo.de/english/freenet/meltdown-2014-04

hey now we have two :-) (1) btw: I'm also observing #freenet (2) and their java installer (3) is at least fast and their freenode chat group also seems worthy of infos (better than twister or so). cc @drak@sn.1w6.org (1) http://oracle.skilledtests.com/group/gnunet (2) http://sn.1w6.org/group/freenet (3) http://oracle.skilledtests.com/conversation/256926

have to smile... when I read the #Freenet install guide and stumble on things required: #Sun (best results with Sun's #Java Runtime Environment), #Google (wget https://docs.google.com) https://freenetproject.org/download.html#unix

Yes, definitely. I see the weirdest, most interesting stuff on #Freenet, and I wouldn't mind sharing my weird thoughts anonymously :P

Today, I saw #FreeNet's main developer x0r (p0s) on the Steam Linux Hub being completely paranoid about how dangerous Steam for Linux may or may not be to your privacy and freedom. Having someone this paranoid develop a censorship-resistent, (pseudo-)anonymous alternative to the Internet as we know it makes me feel in safe hands: (http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/0/882966056455673025/)
