  4. on the @question that "#" and "#" feel like they're in tension: take for example the # systems: they federate also within their system (and via !ostatus with SN) and offer private messages (and btw: I am not saying: something is private at all in the internet, just what people "think" is hidden)

  14. that is also my experience and what I liked with !friendica: it works in harder environments - and we could find a solution for #'s current pubsubhub problem (1) by putting SN in between, I think: your friendica (2) -> your SN <- # (1) http://oracle.skilledtests.com/conversation/184537#notice-286824 (2) from what I heard: denting to people with name works in friendica

  20. yeah :-( it's not entirely #'s "fault". The scared, put-off # users could just look out for other communities, software (like # or #), not sure if it's only "laziness" or the lost # (in # run things). # each one of us can do more PR for such communities/software: the failure to do that helps in the end big silos like # (not sure if comparing it to the elections is a good analogy: people who do # vote will get hurt in the end)

  22. What's a blog for you ? One could also do it with SN by using the # tag. Is the char length a problem ? one could search a SN server with more chars (than quitter). For table structure one can use the # plugin. for structuring pics inside the text SN's not so good (but I think # can do that better) cc @zoowar
