NCN - 003 GOLD MAN

Okay first of I'm thinking of redesiging him AGAIN because I'm stuck betwen designing him to look cool and designing him to what I personally like.

Second image below shows a FrankerZton of variants. He's probably the robot master I've made to have so. many. goddamn. versions!! I just don't personally he him as a pauldron type but whatevs, moving on!

The reason why he has so many iterations is because he's my favorite. I mean favorite favorite. Even more than Trap Man and his actual appearence in a fangame favorite. The reason why he's high up there? Hell if I know. Could be that he's the only one that I've actually designed a boss room. Or it could be he's just smug and legitimately loves what he does.

Whatever the case, Gold Man is a gold miner. What a surprise. But I agree the first versions are too generic. I also have to consider he throws huge gold bricks, but at the same time I also don't want him to be the extremely bulky type like Hard Man or Frost Man. Still though, he needed an update. Still does though personally, but that's just me. #pixelart #sprites

NCN - 002 SURGE WOMAN

The idea I had was I wanted to make a classic version of Meddy.EXE from Battle Network, but ended up just being something else.

I mean she looks nothing like Meddy.exe. But I did keep the medical motif. Oh yeah when I tried to sprite her a decade ago it was horrible, I didn't know proportions and how to sprite back then. I mean I still don't know much now but digressing. Versions 2-4 were made last year, now that I have a sligh concept of how to sprite.

Surge, both short for Surgeon (Like how in Elec Man's short for Electricity), as well as for electrical surge. One of her moves she punches the ground with an electrical shock. Her hands have built in defibs. Hopefully I will update the rest of her sprite sheet soon(tm).

NCN – 001 TRAP MAN

Trap Man is the very first Robot Master I created. I wanted a lanky thin robotmaster that was sly and mischevious and ended up with NCN – 001 Trap Man. He's over a decade old.

His evolution was much needed, His first sprite was not good, too stiff and bland posing. The trouble I had with him was mainly his chain-link arms. They're just dangling there, but I had a hard time trying to interpet a visual cue of it being as such and not as stickly arms.

Probably adding frames showing how he works might help, or heck, maybe even draw out a full body character might help the visual. Trap Man is forever a personal favorite not only that he was the first, but he was also the only one to actually be in a fangame.

That's right, Trap Man's in a fangame. No I didn't make one. He makes an appearance in Damage Games' Hard Hat series, specifically the fourth one! Trap Man was picked, along with seven other lucky robot masters back when the Bob and George Forums were a thing. Man have times changed. I crapped out another robot master, this one isn't really part of series 2, stand alone.

I wanted to make like a idol/sound based robot master, but the first draft ended up being too much like Nonon's final form with the shoulder pauldrons. This is just a mediore design, I don't hate it but nothing about this one is unique.
