What's your point in terms of its #maturity level when one considers time already spent (man hours) in comparison to other existing software (e.g. #statusnet, #friendica)? Then it's also unfair to expect something good already ?

Well, that was/is #Evan's intention: to make #pump.io the framework while #clients do the things WE (users) want. He should have invested time right at start to make a good client instead of that buggy web ui. And "forcing" the #statusnet eco system to switch to pump-protocol (adapt or #die) didn't help it either

well, you could also try a 2nd #statusnet client + see if it behaves same. Then it could help to know where the problem lies (server or client)

there are some old bug reports where #pgsql seems to have been possible in older #statusnet http://status.net/open-source/issues/1526 http://status.net/open-source/issues/2284 perhaps there is stilla fork somewhere available which could be worked on ? cc @postblue

Why do you think like this ? #ostatus isn't dead, see here the projects which support it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OStatus e.g. #friendica - I am sure now that #statusnet has become "more a #community project" than "owned by someone" this will help that other projects help it

Hope this helps other #statusnet users: I have seen cases where I receive a dent (because I am subscribed to that person) but it doesn't get sorted into a #group here (though the group name is linked). Only after replying (I think fav'ing alone doesn't suffice) it got shown in the group

Well we have seen what the mass will cause on a server (if what #Evan said is true it will also take its toll on the #quitterverse AND then all of the users there will suffer) I still think most people need to think more about what #federation really means: it does NOT matter on which server I am, I can connect to anybody (be it #statusnet or #friendica, perhaps #pumpio in the future, perhaps)
