@bronymike !vancouverbronies Well, I put up the SurveyMonkey thing which is really basic and it's got 11 responses so far. What do you want to go with? You had expressed concerns about using Facebook for it and I had my own concerns, so I set that up.
-
@mcbrony @bronymike !vancouverbronies I don't see that we really need one (this works fine, generally), and I think it makes more sense to have one go-to place for group stuff, rather than fragment our presence across multiple sites. Also, I despise Facebook and try to use it as little as humanly possible, but that's just me. :)
-
@spectrumflash !vancouverbronies It's the reality of the situation, unfortunately.

!vancouverbronies While I'm intending to come to the finale viewing (and 'rsvp'd' on the survey), does this strike anypony else as odd to be potentially watching episodes from the show, with someone involved in the show, while those episodes themselves will have been obtained by technically non-legal means? My mind just boggles slightly at this concept :)
-
!vancouverbronies With those things in mind I created a real quick SurveyMonkey survey for people to indicate if they're coming: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FFWVZ9Z
-
@fang8989 @bronymike !vancouverbronies Yeah, my other concerns about Facebook would be a) I wouldn't want people to have to sign up for it just to RSVP and b) the very fact that it will get plenty of people's attention, and I don't think we want the attendance numbers to get out of hand.

!vancouverbronies https://www.facebook.com/events/330159373706632/?context=create Here is a facebook event page. Everyone has a facebook, right? If you decide on price, time, and location, just let me know and I will update the information on the event page.

!vancouverbronies man, i just read the last 6 pages of posts since i haven't visited RDN in awhile, so much arguing. wouldn't be surprised to see a few wendigos in tomorrow's forecast. i'm down for whateva meetup is going on.
-
!vancouverbronies @bronymike ok, first off I would like why its better, he hasnt said anything he just asked where it was at, his exact words being "Cool! where are you watching it?" I posted both metro rooms and the library rooms, saying we didnt quite know yet but we had it narrowed down and if he had any say it would be fair to assume his vote would tip the vote, I also gave him some contact info if he had any questions and what not
-
!vancouverbronies they dont have pictures of the room but we were wrong its 100 dollars for 45 people in metro town for 4 hours
-
@echron1000 !vancouverbronies That's great. Be sure to provide said contact info so that he can call in person to you directly as well.
-
@bronymike !vancouverbronies places need a minimum of a weeks notice so if the scheduel isnt posted befor saterday we wont be able to have it set
-
@bronymike !VANCOUVERBRONIES, may I ask why we are changing venue if so far no one has shown intrest other then us
-

@thepuzzldpirate !vancouverbronies 1.Find out when Daniel Ingram is available, no point setting up stuff if he isn't able to attend. 2. find a big enough space, if we have to have tickets and not have enough room, we are doing it wrong. The library conference rooms offer rooms for 60 for 200$ for 4 hours. If Daniel Ingram name is strong enough, we would achieve that and more. 3.find out what we need. Like I said, I don't know if Daniel wants to watch it live. if he does we will need a space that offers internet(library does),audio equipment(library does) and probably a projector(not sure if library does). Projectors are about 100$ for rental which means at the library it would about $350, $320 if we watch it later. These are answers we need by the end of the week. Worry about these first.

tesla500 !vancouverbronies Great meeting everypony! After the meeting we ran around looking at conference rooms near Metrotown. There are two Community Rooms in Metrotown mall, each seat 40 people and cost $100 for 4 hours, $150 per day. The Bonsor complex is much more expensive, the smallest room was ~$90 per hour with a 4 hour minimum. I forget the seating capacity of that one. There's apparently another room in Metrotower 2 that seats 55 and costs $110 for 4 hours. We couldn't get any info on that today because they're closed. Info at http://www.metrotowerii.com/manual/manualheaderdetail.ch2?manual.id=140&selectedHeaderCounter=3&selectedSubHeaderCounter=12 We'll need to give them a call to see if the room is available. This Metrotower room looks like the best deal by far

!vancouverbronies Mike every time I post something after I set up these weeklies as been some way or form of degradation of character to me, and I am fed up with getting insulted. The reason I didnt want people to put it on credit or what not is becuase, LAST TIME no one paid, no one I tried for a solid two weeks to drumb up notice to try and get people to pay, and the only two people to show up were Cracky, and Redtia. so I have given up and I have lost trust in ANY of you to come through with money at the door. so I am planning to keep everything tagged I have tickets that would be given to people. we dont know how many people showed up. and I didnt want you to freaking post you would pay for the whole room becuase then no one would pay you back or put money in to the damn pot for this thing

echron1000 !vancouverbronies Hey I am trying to help with this one, Mike we are making a monthly, this thing is happening in two weeks, From today. I believe its the 21st of April. I need money by the end of this week. phone me (604 760 5579) or email me at b.j_ferguson [at] hotmail [dot] com, for when I can come pick it up, it will be like 5 dollars because we will include drinks, if there is left overs, then we will hand it back or get foods as well for everyone.. I need the money before this Saturday, so please please contact me, I don't want this to fall through. On giving me the money you will receive a ticket and will be given priority seating, if you don't have a ticket and show up..... you get in if there are seats left. I do not do this to be mean but to be fair if you help pay for the room, then you should get a seat. Lets get this rolling, so in the words of a certain muscle bound pegasus " YEAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!"

@echron1000 !vancouverbronies: I'm going to say this and you need to take this with a grain of salt but what you are asking is far from reasonable. I OFFERED, a way to pay for this so there ain't any problems. You think I'm going to pay for this thing by myself? I was going to collect at the door WHERE EVERYONE IS GOING. How do you expect for people to take time out of our schedules to give you 5 bucks, I work 64 hours a week, I don't have spare time. Second of all, you completely ran over any of my efforts which I had to turn around and delete anything (Even my posts to Daniel Ingram) related to them. So simply put THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE before any worries about money.
-
@bronymike !vancouverbronies I think we've already got the down payment covered. But yes, we need a projector or television and an internet connection.
-
@echron1000 !vancouverbronies. I am not going to let you all bananasy foot around again like with lasertag, get your but in gear and contact me, I NEED not want need, the money before or on saterday at the meet. and dont worry gary and scoot, at this rate it looks like you will be able to get a ticket when you show up
-
!VANCOUVERBRONIES IT DOESN'T MATTER IF WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO DO IT! look we have some venues ready to choose from, we know that metro closes at nine so we should be able to stay late, what we need is the money we have a total of... 5 dollars out of... 110 for the bigger room, am I the only one seeing that there is no way those numbers are matching up
-
!vancouverbronies I certainly wouldn't be averse to it being in the evening after the Fan Expo stuff. I'm supposed to have an RPG session in the afternoon that I'll skip if necessary (I'd rather have to skip it than miss this), but if I didn't have to that would also be cool. But whatever works for more people, of course.
-
!vancouverbronies So where is this happening? I'm happy to contribute money. Is there some way I can do that without having to coordinate meeting somebody, i.e., PayPal or the like?

@thepuzzldpirate !vancouverbronies I was looking at VPL - the smaller rooms (~60 people) are about $200 for 4 hours and it would be another $50 for a TV (doesn't say how big): http://www.vpl.ca/rooms/pdf/2012_LSCCrates.pdf
