Gonna play Rayman Origins ^^ Loving this game, not sure if it's as good as Sonic Generations, but it's a lot better than Super Mario 3D Land IMO (I do enjoy that game, but it isn't a favourite 3D platformer of mine, or favourite Mario game for that matter) !vgp

Well, this isn't a good sign...I put Rayman Origins' disk into my 360 and it spends forever reading, but never actually finishes doing so :/ ...It's doing the same thing with Assassin's Creed: Revelations...please, don't let my 360 be buggered, not at Christmas >< The odd thing is, Battlefield 3 works but Rayman Origins and Assassin's Creed Revelations don't? Both those games were brand new, so...what the hell? >< !vgp

Now received my presents :) Here's an overview of what I got. Assassin's Creed Revelations (Animus Edition) for Xbox 360. Rayman Origins (Collector's Edition) for Xbox 360. Assassin's Creed II for Nintendo DS. (Think it has a different story to the HD version) Nintendo DS Lite (Blue) *REALLY didn't expect this, I had wanted one due to missing its region free-ness, GBA slot and better battery life than the 3DS, it was a pleasant surprise! Last of The Summer Wine - Series 3 and 4 (totally didn't expect this either) And a bunch of chocolates, Toblerone, a Thortons Box etc :) Did very well, I must say! Giving my sisters and parents their presents later, when nan comes over for dinner. :) (reposted into the video games group) !vgp

!vgp I'm enjoying #dungeonsofdredmor far more than I imagined I could. The DLC is only $1.50 during the Steam sale. Think I'm gonna spring for it. Best part? Desura or Steam, the game still comes with a #Linux version! I can enjoy it without rebooting my PC a thousand times!

After suffering the sheer frustration of losing 3000 or so Souls (died at the Minotaur fight) I need to give Dark Souls a bit of a break. !vgp

Anyways, you know how I said I was trying but failing to get into Dark Souls but was ultimatley failing to do so due to finding it MUCH too hard from the earliest stage? Yeah, only turns out I was going the wrong way and taking another route (which I missed entirely) leads to considerably weaker (not WEAK, but you take my meaning) enemies that I can use to grind to help with killing the skeletons ^^; !derp Enjoying it a lot more now that I have a fighting chance :) !vgp

Anyways, tech related ranting aside, I'm headed over to a friend's for a few hours. He's gotten me Battlefield 3 as a Christmas present, which is awesome :) (even though I didn't follow Battlefield 3's media coverage/hype at all) he also wants to try Xenoblade Chronicles so I'm bringing that with me. ^^ !vgp

I couldn't get into Dark Souls (not as of yet) so I've started Xenoblade Chronichles (which I got on the same day for £20) and I have very good impressions of it thus far! it has an interesting battle system, great music and what seems to be the start of an interesting story! !vgp
