@huggablysoft Also yeah, recent Ubuntu versions get pretty damn close to that.
-
@huggablysoft Isn't that what the new builds of OSX are supposed to be like?
-
@huggablysoft Technically android itself will run on those machines, but I don't suspect that's what you're looking for. :P

THE MAGIC AND THE MYSTERY

@purplephish20 Try swearing.
-
@ceruleanspark This seems like good advice in many situations.
-
-
Let's see if Soundcloud will let me upload this mashup. It's the first track of the mashup set and I love it.

@coffeecream Could you send me the link over on irc? The chances of me actually remembering it by the time I can listen are pretty low if it's only on here.
-
@bitshift Oh, no problem!
-

@bitshift Ubuntu just flatout freezes at this point of the installer. Xubuntu seems to go in a perpetual vegetative state where you can move the mouse but nothing really important happens. ( I recon I am going to leave it running when I am going to work in a few minutes )... Right now I have 3 options. Leave my lappy running on [dual-boot] Windows XP and Warty Warthog. Use a diffrent linux distro ( someone recommended trying out Chromium OS. Slackware ( if it is still alive ) Knoppix, DSL, Fedora, Suse and DSL are also on the list of things probably worthy to check out ) ... Or I can take it with me to camp ( www.campzone.nl , should support english language ) having my lappy running as is. At Campzone will be enough purebreed linux guru's there to help me to transform this old beast into something Saddam Hussein wishes he had as main ballistic missile trajectory control unit. Or something.

@bitshift Hmm, say are all dual core and above processors automatically 64 bit ?

@critialcloudkicker Any that you can actually buy as a non- industrial buyer are, at least. (So yes.)

@critialcloudkicker Try Lubuntu with LXDE as default desktop https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/GetLubuntu

Can we nominate Cerulean for some kind of award? The potato knishes profanity filter is beautiful.

Potato Knishes
Monday, 08-Jul-13 11:34:22 UTC from web-
@bitshift The new people still flip out every time the logo changes so...I think I could probably get away with it
-
@ceruleanspark Ah, new people... Keeping old gags fresh. :)
-
@ceruleanspark On t'other hand, it'd give me an excuse to giggle at "ceruleansqark" again.
-
-
All profanity is now wordfiltered to potato knishes
-
@ceruleanspark Potato Knishes yeah! :D
-
@ceruleanspark Are you Potato Knishesing serious?
-
@bitshift oh hell yes

What I'm saying is that if a users positive contributions to the site outweigh their occasional slip-ups, they deserve another chance.

@ceruleanspark Yikes.
-
@ceruleanspark This just kinda upset my PG-13 sense, good sense, and rang several alarms in my brain going "somebody needs a good 1 on 1 talking with a psychiatrist" ... Also there are snippets of movies running in the back of my head... Probably a mixture of American Psycho and Dexter the dark defender 's childhoods... *sigh* I wish him the best.
-
I've upgraded the knishes
-
oh my
-
@bitshift the magic AND the mystery
-
@ceruleanspark Can I be really annoying and request that you upgrade the Knishes to their final form? I fixed the shadow on the topmost text http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/272413

I'm thinking new owner, new leaf. It seems reasonable to reset the strikes of people who've been in trouble before. Anyone disagree?
-
@bitshift A buddhist?
-
@ceruleanspark I think you may have misreplied there. In any case, the question was my question to go with @anypony's "answer". :p

@bitshift Apparently so

Aah, so the server has been changed and @bitshift is here again? Was he lost in the server power cords or something?

@bitshift Too bad I never got to the linux-y equivalent of diskpart
-
@critialcloudkicker Oh, yikes. It fails that early?
-
@bitshift Jup. This bugs.launchpad.net article sort of blames partmon. And knowing how you normally install OS's I am going to say it crashes before the whole partitions thing, OR before the "can you test your keyboard for me ?" thing

Why do people try to distribute pirated stuff to me on the /offchance/ that I might like a game? I have no idea what Cube World even is nor why I should care.
Monday, 08-Jul-13 10:03:30 UTC from web-
@coffeecream Apparently it's like the lovechild of Terraria and Minecraft. I don't particularly care about it, since they didn't deign to support a platform I use.

@bitshift The incest implied by terrariaXMinecraft is just like one of my japanese animes

So I just pre-regestiered for a xbox live update. The only words in the agreement forum was "this my break your system" and "don't talk or share anything related to the update to anyone or thing. Not even your favorite toy." Should I be worried? !vgp #slight exageration
