  1. @toksyuryel Sounds about right... :/

  2. @toksyuryel That just seems like an overcomplicated system to do what you need it to. Yes, I realise it probably isn't. No, I've never gotten it to work right in my time with Linux. # Hope you get it working the way you need nonetheless.

  3. @toksyuryel Being honest, I'm not really sure if I see the use of using tmux inside of a tiling window manager. It's tiling tiling-ness or so. Only sounds confusing to me. Then again, guess you could place it on a virtual desktop and tile a lot of SSH shells to different servers in it or so? Meh, maybe I'll find a use for it one day. Right now I don't really have any use for it though =/

  4. @toksyuryel Yeah, that's what I was doing. And I guess it looked so much like a tiling window manager to me that I kinda thought that it would be possible to also run an X session in it in a tiled way for a moment. Oh well, at least tmux will be useful if I ever get stuck in a X-less environment.

  5. @toksyuryel I'll take that as a "No, you can't run X sessions in there" which is fair, I guess, though this means I'll have to find something else (I'm not sure if I want to switch back to awesome or not :x)

  6. @toksyuryel Random question: You use tmux, don't you? I've tried it for about 10 minutes and somewhat liked it, but I couldn't manage to change the "resolution" or run an X session inside of it. Is it even possible to run an X session inside of tmux or is the only possibility framebuffering? (Sorry if I'm asking you stupid questions but I spend a fair amount of time on DuckDuckGo and Google, to no avail)

  7. @toksyuryel you've based everything on the foundation of learning. ;D Which is pretty awesome.

  8. @toksyuryel I wish i could help more. But if you do figure it out, i'd appreciate it if you could spread the word somehow. The only solutions i could find to other peoples problems so far require a bunch of unnecessary downloads all ultimately just being an indirect and non-definitive answer. Which aggravates me a bit. :P

  9. @toksyuryel but you seem like you're on the right track. curiosity should push you to the answer soon enough.

  11. @toksyuryel How do people even deal with things in linux? >_> A 'loopback' sounds like it might be something similar. But I just did a quick google search and found other people with similar problems.

  12. @toksyuryel curses. i've never even booted up a Linux OS. There's a kind of control panel I would imagine though. Find your sound settings and we'll work from there.

  13. @toksyuryel alright, what operating system are you running? If it's 7, you're going to have to enable it. (Actually your setup sounds very similar to RealTek's sound managing hell I have to deal with. But if thats the case then at least Im a bit familair with it.)

  15. @toksyuryel wow......

  16. @toksyuryel that may still work. I'm not sure of alsa's configuration settings, what operating system you're running, or what your operating system's current configured sound settings are - but using the freeware program audacity, you can set the recording device as 'Stereo Mix' which records the audio that is being played through your speakers with impeccable quality.

  17. @toksyuryel ok this is going to sound like a really retarded question but trust me - do you have speakers that play sound from your sound card?

  18. @toksyuryel hold on, what sound are you trying to capture? I might be able to help.

  19. @toksyuryel And by "sound card" I of course mean "onboard audio chip"

  20. @toksyuryel Hmm. Let me know what you find - I'll be watching your posts quite intently... hope you find a solution!

  22. @toksyuryel As in multiple audio streams? That would be great for editing!

  24. @toksyuryel The only real big mod i use is tekkit, and that has its own launcher. Im gonna set up magiclauncher when all my mods (including mine little pony) are up to date.

  25. @toksyuryel Once I move over, though, I may have to look for something else. Unless I can find a way for MultiMC to launch a profile automatically or something so GLC can hook into it.

Thursday, 01-Nov-12 04:41:19 UTC from web in context
  26. @toksyuryel I did for a while, but it actually conflicted with my recording program (I use a separate Minecraft config in Dxtory). MultiMC played nice, so I swapped to that. Still like how MagicLauncher handles mods, though.

  28. @toksyuryel Just wondering how long it'll last before someone decides it's good troll bait, like every other younger person that's been on here. The last one we had when I was owner of here actually had his mother **** at me. Called you lot a bunch of stalkers and paedophiles, was going to get the police involved and everything. Of course it was a 'heat of the moment' thing, but once I pointed out that her son had joined the site on his own and that made both her and her son responsible for the actions and agreeing to join. She had nothing even if she wasn't joking. Had to delete the account though, had to delete a few accounts of younger users actually.

  29. @toksyuryel They've made a beta version of bukkit, going to be testing it today (or tomorrow sometime) and see what's what and if I can reopen
