@nightwillow Yeah but if you're a student you have an excuse, in the long term being a student counts toward your career.
-
After work, I went to meet @nightwillow at work. And they said bronies were unemployed...
-
@nightwillow I suppose so. I don't think I've ever been there so idk what's available
-
@nightwillow I'll wear my stormtrooper on a bicycle shirt. I made it, nobody else has one. Also I wear hats when I go places.
-
@nightwillow Oh and also, whats the most dead hours? because obviously that's the best time to drop in.
-
@nightwillow During what hours?
-
@nightwillow Not sure, I'll check the ingredients of the UK one when I next see a bottle, unless I can find them online somewhere.
-
@nightwillow Dunno about the regular stuff, but the Throwback (which I tried) is no different to ours.
-
@nightwillow Have a good night!

@nightwillow Heinous. My old roommate used to rely on his phone, but it was a pile of junk. I'd actually seen it just not ring the alarm - he had it set, and nothing happened when the time came. So, yeah, it was a good thing my alarm was more reliable, since we worked together. :p
-
@nightwillow It has happened; fortunately, I had nothing going on that day. XD
-
@nightwillow I'm just not nuts about relying entirely on one device.
-
@nightwillow I've got a microwave, it has a time display. I use my phone for my alarm. Which I kind of want to get away from doing, but it's what I've got ATM.
-
@nightwillow Okay. I picked music just because I have a hard time falling asleep with any lights in the room.
-
@nightwillow I vote music.
-
@nightwillow McD does :D
-
@nightwillow Dang.
-
@nightwillow Heh, alright, just as long as you don't starve to death. :P
-
@nightwillow Ah. But you'll be able to get something after class?
-
@nightwillow Got anything to eat?
-
@nightwillow no really it's fine, there really is no need to apologize
-
@nightwillow no need to say sorry ^-^ !hugs
-

@nightwillow quick search says salaries range from 20-60k a year, which isn't fantastic, but it's a comfortable living. There's certainly no shame in being a blue collar worker (say skilled laborer. It sounds better). Are you good enough? Maybe. If you enjoy it, and don't find it difficult, you'll certainly be able to learn How to be good enough. Not that I'm determined to send you into the welding field or anything though. That's your decision. It's also worth noting that you don't have to do only your job. Maybe you could be an indie game developer on the side. I know a guy who's making a good bit of money from a Windows phone game he made in his frree time. Ah well. I'll stop manipulating you now. ARRIVEDERCI! *poof

@nightwillow (2/2) There's no need to hide the truth from your dad. I don't know the guy, so I can't say he won't be disappointed with your decision. What I can say is that he'll be more disappointed if you get stuck in a career you're not happy with. As the Cutie Mark Crusaders endlessly demonstrate, finding out what you're supposed to do takes time, and surprisingly often gets you covered in tree sap. It's worth taking the time to see what feels right. PS long haired bro? Respect! *brohoofs screen

@nightwillow (1/2)I remember doing this. I started freshman year in Architecture so determined that it would be awesome. It. Sucked. Balls. I hated the teachers, the workload, and didn't really make many friends. I reached a point where I could either stay in architecture and fail out of school or transfer to something else. After a long process, I'm now in Civil Engineering, and I'm really glad I made the switch. Point is, you should sort this out now before the last minute. You need to ask yourself whether you hate the subject matter or just how the class is taught. If you genuinely enjoy programming/whatever courses you're taking, it might be worth it to tough them out, and hope for better, more interesting courses next year. If you don't like them, however, no amount of trying will make you like them, and it's time for a switch. I wouldn't hastily rush into a welding career though. That's something you should talk over with friends and family, particularly your father. (Cont'd)
