@cabal I'm at ~35 miles from the capital of the country, but still, the need for technicians is somewhat high. Decreasing a little, yes, but still a problem that comes with cloud computing and internet, is that there's abundance of information. That means virtually anyone could find a guide to fix most problems, but it means too that lots of wrong or "troll" to call it like that, information is available too. And only people with a certain degree of knowledge is able to distinguish a legit guide from something written by someone misinformed or trolling, so there will be an increase of the demand for that reason, people ruining their computers when following internet information.

@cabal Certainly the fact that most try to avoid sites like 4chan is true, but lots of forums and places like yahoo answers, that most users check are full of guys who think they know what they're typing, but don't have a real knowledge over the matter.

Things I did in 2011: Held a brony convention with 300 people at it. Got interviewed by the Wall Street Journal. Made lots of ponies happy (and saved one of them from the streets). That last sentence is the most important.

@purpletinker hey there, I sent you an email a few days ago but either you have been busy or it didn't get through. So just to be sure, have some copypasta: I was planning on entering the AppleII programming contest for the upcoming BronyCon. However, I have some questions: - Which emulator are you using? Any special settings? - Will the winner be announced during the con? - Will the game be shown live 'on stage'? - If so, what are the chances that someone is filming this and uploading it somwhere? Thanks already for your work, it's appreciated even though I cannot attend. Why must New York be so far away? :( Cheers!

@purpletinker That's not exactly was I meant... as in any problem due to different views on a point, at least I believe, and it has worked marvels for me, that ambigous talking is the best course of action, for anyone can understand what they want while not necesarily banning something nor lying.

For instance, the PATRIOT act destroyed our Constitutional rights-- the things we SHOULD be "patriotic" about. And this "e-qual-estria" group is about inequality. Very Orwellian.

@cabal I'd cheerily (Cheerilee?) take over legal responsibility for the domain. I am quite close to Hasbro and The Hub. They love what us bronies are doing. They won't use SOPA against us, any more than they're using DMCA against us.

@purplephish20 just read it, and saw the pic referenced. 1. Can't see the homosexuality in the pic with big mac (smiles and a floating heart =/= shipping automatically) 2. I agree with her points but I take it a step further: I do not like ANY fanart past PG for characters, whether it falls within my orientation or not. I just don't feel it's what we need in our community, and each rule 34 is just feeding Fox News' hate-cannon. 3. Speaking of rule 34, did I mention the art PT linked did not convey any homosexuality imo?
