@noir I got home in 10 seconds flat. =D Um, and let me make sure.... Was Ika (sp?) the one who drew your OC before? You probably told me before, but I'm forgetting the answer you told me. Oh, and... You may have already figured this out, but the other reason why the Izzet keyrune (or any of the other key, really) would be a good addition to your deck is because putting it down onto the field could be the equivalent of playing a second land in the same turn, which would let you use your cards faster.
-
@ikasamabrony No worries. =P And eeyup, I would like to commission you. I actually heard about you from Noir (You know him, right?) a week ago, and he was telling me about how you're taking commissions. Specifically, I'm interested in a cute or adorable scene (could be lovey-dovey if you wish) between 2 ponies with shading, hightlights, and full background. Admittedly, I'm not sure how specific you want me to be when describing the scene itself, but I try not to be strict as to not interfere with creativity. Though... The 2 ponies I have in mind are Derpy and Noir (the unicorn). I checked with Noir, and he said he is ok with his character being used, but you may want to check with Noir again in case he changed his mind. Anyway, are you finding what I'm describing to be acceptable so far? I do have paypal, but I imagine you'd rather get actual cash from me because of the transaction fee.
-
@noir Say... I was wondering about your background image. Did you have to play around with its size until it fits the page?
-
@noir Ah, I'm relief to hear that. It's great that there is no actual naming rule. ^^
-
@noir OH MOST WONDER O- Ahem I better warn them of your impending arrival then. That is natural, don't worry about it. Both of us are more or less in the same boat. =P It is true that there are ponies named after food, but since a majority of them are earth ponies, do you think it would be too out of place to have a Pegasus with a food theme name? Pegasus usually have a name related to the sky or the weather in some way from the look of it.
-
@noir I'm gonna stick with rich. I don't think I ever tried creamy before though. =P Oh, and about the Mana leak... As I see it, the Mana Leak card will let you counter any spell, but if your opponent decide to pay 3 more mana in response, then your Mana Leak will fail at countering. Though, I can see how it would be interpreted differently; the wording on the card isn't quite crystal clear. But yeah, Puzzlemint will probably know for sure. =P Say.... Does it seem like a good idea to name a pony after a certain type of food? For example... " Tempura" or even... "Teriyaki" for that matter.
-
@noir I'm not exactly a fan of soft drinks or any fancy drink, so just some plain water should be fine. Though, if you wanted to know what else I drink beside plain water... Hot chocolate or soy milk are also fine. =P I have always speak from my mind whenever possible, so fear not, I'll let you know what I think of the character when I see it.
-
@noir Yes. Next time, we'll find all of those stuffs as well as the muffins. I'm actually surprised you went an entire day without any muffin, Noir. >.> Ah, it's good that they don't mind me coming over. ^^ I hope you found our matches to be useful for yourself as well. I got a better idea of my deck's strength and weakness, and I imagine you probably got to know your deck better too. Again, thank you very much for helping me with the OC. I appreciate it very much. ^^ As I said before, it's more than enough that you're even helping me with this, so don't lose sleep over it.
-
@noir Thanks again, Noir. Today was a blast. I got a better idea on how to improve my deck, and I finally get to see what your deck can actually do. We even came up with a character for myself too. ^^ If it wasn't for you telling me about bus#20 at the Brentwood station, I would have gotten off at the wrong stop, so I'm grateful that you told me that. =P The bus took about 23 minutes to reach my stop, and then I just walk for 2 to 3 minutes to get home. This is a very convenient route, and I may just start using it to return from the meet-ups. It was sorta too bad about the lack of muffin, but we'll just have to make up for that next time~!
-
@noir Good to know, I usually don't have time to watch it on the day it came out. =P I shall see you tomorrow then. ^^
-
@noir Ah, yes. I think I get where you're coming from. Let's hope for the best. ^^ Coincidentally, do you usually watch the new episode the instance it air? Or do you usually watch it later than that? In any case, are you more or less ready for the trip to the Chinook mall tomorrow?
-
@noir It won't be long now until season 3, Noir. =P I bet you're excited to be seeing Derpy again. ^^ Out of curiosity... Do you have a scene or a scenario you would have like to see happened in season 3?
-
@noir It's all right, no harm done. At least now we know, right? ^^
-
@noir Not to worry, Noir. That is only a minor set-back for me. One of the buses I usually take (bus#3) seem to go nearby Chinook mall, and I did have that as my back-up plan anyway, so I should be fine. But, what about yourself, Noir? Does the train station being repaired hindered your ability to get to the Chinook mall?
-
@noir I see, I think I may have to try Legends of Equestria (whenever it gets released) and Ponymon at some point. =P Oh, and I just remember. The Superstore I was referring to a few days ago was the one on Huntington, and its specific address is 7020 4th Street NW Calgary, AB T2K 1C4. To give you a better distance measurement, I could be using bus#20 to travel from here to the Northern Calgary university ( I think it's the Northern campus at least) in about 20 to 30 minutes.
-
@noir Hm... I heard of Legends of Equestria and Mlp online before, but I didn't have time to look into it. Are they fun? I have never heard of Ponymon before, but does it play exactly like a pokemon game? I have also played a lot of flash games usually found on Deviant Art. =P Have you ever heard of FIM vs. Starcraft II? What about Welcome to Ponyville?
-
@noir Good, I wouldn't want you to arrive one hour too early for a date with a certain mare.... Or do I? >.> I should be able to manage just fine, don't worry. ^^ Say, I was wondering... Have you ever played any of the (fan-made or official) FIM games?
-
@noir Of course we'll play again. ^^ I imagine both of us will have a better idea of what cards we want in a deck the more we play, so that's a plus. And not to worry, I'm not that crazy good with interpreting music, so I didn't catch any implication about the plot nor the other ponies. =P Oh. I guess it make sense for it to be busy on the weekend. >.> Very well, I'll make sure to bring that card I mentioned to you yesterday to trade you in exchange. And... Let me just make sure... Did you moved the time back one hour today? I actually forgot about it until 2 hours ago.
-
@darcyblue Hey, Darcy. You may have already found this out for yourself, but the items that you're looking for ( The Porygon disk and the Genesect drives) are in close proximity with each another. They are obtainable in one of the area you couldn't reached until you beat the storyline, so it's no wonder you haven't found them yet. I could be more specific about the exact location, but then I could be spoiling your fun. =P
-
@noir Thanks again for the card sleeves, Noir. The food you bought yesterday was very tasty too, I'm certain even Derpy would be impressed. >.> The Magic game we had was fun, but it's too bad you had a stroke of bad luck then. If I didn't lucked out and draw a 5/2 monster in our second match, that particular battle would work out better for you since I wouldn't have gotten through your defense so soon. =P Oh, just this afternoon, I listened to the music you showed me yesterday. Needless to say, they are very appropriate for the scenes they are meant for. You have a very good sense and taste in music. ^^ My favourite songs from that list you showed me are still " Run with Us " and " Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moon light", but "Under The Milky Way" and "True Faith" are pretty impressive too. Anyway, as for what time we should meet this coming Saturday... Does 11 AM or 1PM work for you? Or is it too soon? Admittedly, I have no idea when the mall/train is the least busy.
-
@noir I usually take the bus. =P Nah, don't worry about it. Most people nowadays have a cell phone or something that can function as one anyway, so it's reasonable that you expected me to have one. ^^ I'm sorry I don't have a cell phone though, it would probably make thing easier for you.
-
@noir I'll keep that time in mind. ^^ It would be convenient to have your cell phone number, but it doesn't seem like such a good idea for you to give it to me here. Oh, but for the record, I have neither a cell phone nor a mobile device of any sort; otherwise, I would have given you a number too.
-
@noir Of course we can. ^^ I am so looking forward to the upcoming Saturday and the next Saturday! I can hardly wait. =P After all, I get to have an intense battle with the enigmatic Noir this weekend, and then I get to go adventuring next weekend. =D Darcy and the others are probably bringing their pokemon games over again to this meetup, and they are pretty fun to play with too. I'll be there earlier this time around, like we talked about earlier. ^^
-
@noir I don't mind at all. I took French in high school, so I can understand the basic written words. I'm not too good with listening and speaking French though. =P All right, did you already have a time in mind? If not, we still have another week to decide on a time anyway, so no rush. =P Hmm... Derpy day, huh? Sound like the perfect opportunity for you to share a muffin with Derpy. =D

@noir Oh, and I almost forgot. Happy Halloween, Noir! Even if you didn't exactly do anything special this evening, I hope you had a lot of chocolates and candies. .... Or perhaps Muffins? Muffins are cool too. >.>
-
@noir Good to hear. Ah, so the schedule for the c-train is still similar for Saturday and Sunday... Hm... From the sound of it, I guess Saturday and Sunday really are the most preferable day then. But out of the two days... Hm... How about Saturday then? I think stores stay open for longer on a Saturday, and we would at least have another day to rest. No need to worry about multiple posts. I don't mind. =P Ah, sorry about that. I did figured you meant the Rememberance day weekend, but I have to make sure. I ran into a handful of people who said " next weekend" when they meant to say this weekend before, so I tried not to make any assumption if I can help it. ^^ ;
-
@noir Eeyup, the Chinook train station is fine. Very well, I shall look forward to seeing the music list you have in mind. ^^ I'm thinking either a Saturday or a Sunday would be best because we probably wouldn't be coming straight from work on those days. It also depend... Is the C train more frequent on a Saturday than it is on a Sunday? If so, Saturday might be better. Alternatively, Fridays are also good if your workplace is nearby and only if it would save you some time. Come to think of it... When you mention next weekend, do you mean the Rememberance day weekend? Or the upcoming weekend when the Daylight Saving time end? Oh, and by the way, do you have any idea if the $94 Calgary Adult monthly transit pass will allow me to ride on the c-train as well?
-
@noir All right then, Chinook mall it is. ^^ But let me make sure... The address of the Chinook mall is 6455 Macleod Trail SW Calgary, Alberta T2H 0K8, correct? Oh, so our schedule is pretty much identical then. Did you already decided on a meeting spot? Or perhaps a good time to meet? Ah, sound like you thought quite a bit about which music go with your fic. =P I would appreciate it if you have a list to show me at the meet-up, but at the same time, don't show me anything you don't feel comfortable showing me, all right? I'm guessing you probably have quite a few things about your story that you don't want to give away too soon. =P
-
@noir Sound good. ^^ Do you happened to know the name of that mall you have in mind? For the record, I usually work from 8 AM to 4:30PM ( But I may stay a little longer sometime) during the weekday, but other than that, I have a very flexible schedule. Still, I believe you have a better idea of which jacket to get since you've been here longer than me. Any recommendation from you would be useful, really. =P Oh, and come to think of it... I was wondering... Did you ever associated any music with the fanfic you're working on? Maybe a music that fit your story pretty well? Or perhaps with one or more of your characters?
-
@noir Calgary has been great! The people I met here are very understanding and helpful. Though, admittedly, the only people I really interacted with so far are a few people at my workplaces and a few people from the meet-up. Overall, everypony seems friendly enough. =P There are actually a lot more pony merchandises here, and pretty much everything is cheaper due to the gst being only 5% (compare to BC's combine tax of 12% on certain goods). The Winter seems like it may take some getting used to, but it doesn't really affect my opinion on Calgary, and I should be able to adept. Oh, but yes, it'd be awesome if we hang out sometime. Did you have a specific place in mind? I wouldn't mind getting a few Winter clothing advices from you too, admittedly. Perhaps you might be able to point out a few good choice of clothing when we pass by some stores? See, I'm more or less the opposite of Rarity when it comes to picking appropriate attires. =P But! Whatever else you have in mind is also good.
