@hannes2peer Q.se users cannot subscribe to @ekaitzzarraga → http://qttr.at/1tcp. It works from Q.no
-
@mcscx @ekaitzzarraga i ran update-profile.php https://mastodon.social/users/ekaitz_zarraga and now it seems to work
-
@hannes2peer thank you, indeed I have been able to subscribe to @ekaitzzarraga now :-) cc: @ekaitzzarraga

@espectalll because they haven't read marx?
- mmn repeated this.
-
@espectalll i don't see the problem with being the commie twitter :)
-
@espectalll i know what it says, what's the problem?
-
happy international workers' day! syndicalists marching in norrköping, sweden https://quit.im/notice/194205
- maiyannah repeated this.
-
@bob No, I'm thinking more that I haven't heard from/about them in a while and I figured May 1st was a good date to check up on them!
-
@mmn wasn't it run by @marxistvegan?
-
@hannes2peer That is correct. Is @marxistvegan still alive?
-
Oh @marxistvegan you _are_ alive! And on a #Mastodon instance!
-
-
@bob oh "entrepreneurial coalitions" is a cute word for primitive accumulation of capital

I've finished a first draft of a script for a vlog/podcast about GNU Social and Mastodon for Japanese audiences. I've done my best to ask questions and do research, but if there's any obvious falsehoods or gross oversimplifications that need correction, I'd be grateful for any feedback before I start translation/recording.- akionux repeated this.
-
@japananon GNU social is more of a continuation (name changes, change of direction, developer switches etc.) of the other works - not "incorporates" (though that's technically correct too of course).
Also, we're not all communists like @hannes2peer. I, for one, am a space communist. Big difference.

Vet inte vad @paragrafryttare@skatteverket.se tycker om det.

@espectalll Yes, remote subscription form. What I saw that was the error in some screenshot you had was that the 'acct:' part was included, which makes the lookup fail. Without it, it works even with underscores.
If it for some reason still doesn't work for you, maybe it's because you're on #quitter.se and because @hannes2peer unfortunately has to work to gather capitailst money to pay for crappy capitalist stuff in a crappy capitalist society I think it drains energy from maintaining stuff too often (is my projected interpretation).-
@mmn den där acct:-grejen är fixad på .se nu iaf!

weird link test: https://web.archive.org/web/20160426223008/http://portablecontacts.net:80/draft-spec.html
-
@espectalll to save space/loading time i guess
-
@knuthollund no, there is no setting for that, but someome has added it as a feature request on git.gnu.io
-
@maiyannah sure
-
@maiyannah nope
-
@maiyannah qvitter has it's own routes in QvitterPlugin.php, but the biggest hurdle would be to figure out how to display pages in qvitter
-
@maiyannah the plan for the settings has been to create a modal/popup kind of thing for them, without any specific url...
-
-
@maiyannah not a simple task since there are no "pages" in qvitter, only streams mapped to api endpoints.
-
annoyed by fascist trolls trying to co-opt me in their revisionist ideas of what gnusocial is/was.
-
only reason i haven't fought harder is because i'm lazy
-
@hannes2peer Procrastinate hard enough and all problems solve themselves ;-)
-
-
@clacke it did exist. and i remember that bug from before
-
someone with a roarmag subscription? please upload to aaaaarg.
-
@clacke that has nothing to do with qvitter. maybe a bug in the modplus plugin for gnusocial
-
New note by moonman
-
@hannes2peer @ekk thanks, will do!
-
@hannes2peer also, I'm glad you're back.
-
@hannes2peer Do you mind if I include qvitter as a default plugin with my postActiv fork of GNU social?
-
@maiyannah of course not
-
@hannes2peer I wanted to make sure you were okay with it :)
-
@hannes2peer Thanks!
-
-
@nicolasmaia ok. i'll try to remember to research that. probably an easy fix on either gnusocial or mastodon side
-
@nicolasmaia is a boost a repeat? can you see them in the classic ui of gnu social?
-
@hannes2peer @nicolasmaia A boost is their language in Mastodon for a repost yeah
-
-
@ciencisto me personally? i use both quite a lot. desktop slightly more i guess.
-
i think i found the !qvitter bug @pettter told me about when we had palt. polling for new quips would stop if the connection went down.
-
Make sure that palt is noted in the fixing commit message.
-
@mmn för sent :(

@hannes2peer For some reason git.gnu.io won't send me my confirmation mail, so I'll ask you here:
In some the added routes in Qvitter you try to get the current user (e.g. to get their mutes) and do a `$this->target = Profile::current();`. This won't work with anything but the cookie / session based authentication and breaks for http basic auth. These actions already inherit from ApiPrivateAuthAction with already sets the current user regardless for auth technique in `$this->scoped`. Is there any reason you did it this way, or is it just a bug?
See this pastebin, the patch I did to make mutes work via http basic auth.

@lambadalambda probably because i just copypasted and modded some other api. fixed, thanks http://qttr.at/1s0j

@shnoulle we ban remote users on quitter.se, other instances have other policies. there are some content we absolutely don't want in our db
