a recent !qvitter commit broke the remote follow button. update to latest to fix it.

@jookia not hard, but takes some time :) quite a lot of stuff is needed, new database tables, streams, buttons, menus etc.

@mcscx yes we still use the old mod_substitute hack in apache.

@hannes2peer it looks like a good thing,it checks wether https is actually availably before substituting to https.Is it only on the ui side?

@hannes2peer I get a bunch of weird behaviour on Quitter. se using Abrowser 52 on !trisquel 7. Sometimes have to reload page or repost quips

@hannes2peer #ABrowser is is just Firefox minus the branding, like #Iceweasel or IceCat#

@hannes2peer tried to sign up at GIT-GNU-io but the captcha kept failing. I turned off Adblock and PrivacyBadger, tried about a dozen times

@hannes2peer I don't think a variable length is a very good idea, considering all the existing client software.

@hannes2peer I heard Twitter also doesnt count URLs into the charlimit any more.I suggest simply raising the .se limit from 140 to 250 chars

@mcscx2 agree, would be nice. the "find someone" does work even if the user is unknown to the instance, bit you have to know the profile url

Maybe a useful future "easy" improvement could be to make it find also known-remote accounts by justing giving the @nick part.
Also partly matching of the name. So when you enter "hannes" it would return your local @hannes2peer account, your remote quit.im account and other local/known-remote *hannes* accounts.

Today there's a !vegan food serving where I work, organised by "No human is illegal" (refugee non-profit raising funds for their cause). As a bonus I heard that today's food is almost exclusively from !dumpsterdiving
