  1. !mnbronies I -might- be able to go, whether or not I can depends on if I can wrap around some pre-existing plans around it, since this is incredibly short notice... and even then, there doesn't seem to be any better plans for it than there was for the original MoA meetup, which had us doing a whole lot of nothing. Besides possibly getting some four-swords in, what else is expected to happen? :x

    • !mnbronies A meetup on the first of October is kind of short notice, how long ago was it posted. Also I don't think I can go because of prior arrangements.

      • !mnbronies @primev2 I downloaded it a bit ago so we can play it if I decide to go to the meetup saturday.

        • !mnbronies Doesn't really have much to do with ponies, but 4 swords anniversary just came out on the DSi/3DS, and I otherwise have nobody else to play it with. Any other forever alone-rs looking to meet up for a playthrough? @brando9g There's a meetup this Saturday? I don't see anything about that here...

          • !mnbronies I'd like to say thanks again to Paul for letting us watch the first episode on the 17th at their place.

              • @shadowflame Yea, too bad not many people could show up. It was kind of last minute anyways. This weekend we should do something with the My Little Problem guys, since Luke passed his test! All the more reason to party! !mnbronies

                • !mnbronies @primev2 It was awesome. The pancakes turned out to be waffles, event better, and some guy brought a ton of bagles, and there was sausage in addition to the bacon lol. There was 10 of us total. We sang, we watched both showings, we ate breakfast. Afterward half the guests left. So we ended up going to Kmart and Target to look at their pony toys, which lead to us screwing around in some isle with a toy piano that meows when you hit the keys lol. Pretty awesome day. Glad you had an awesome time. Plenty of guests show up to Paul's premier?

                  • !mnbronies @primev2 The drinking party fell through. Checked today, only 3 confirmed, so it was called off. I'm actually gonna try and attend this other meetup at mimi's place. This one doesn't allow overnight guests, BUT... they are serving an awesome breakfasts, and from the sound of it, there's gonna be a BUNCH of guests. You live a very short distance away from one of the bus stops on the route I'm taking there. If you go to bed early you can meet me at 6 St & Wabasha St at about 5 AM and we'll go to that one. More guests + food + ponies = awesome.

                    • !mnbronies @primev2 Well Jordan did make an event for it this afternoon, but so far people are undecided. At the rate things are going there just might now be a premier party at all for some of us. which would be really sad. If the party reaches confirmed state I'm sure the time for attending it will be razor thin. I'll let you know if the event gets confirmed.

                      • !mnbronies @researchpony Maybe, we don't have confirmation on the second yet. @shadowflame And on that note, it's now or never for confirming it; I've figured out a hybrid bus/taxi route that'll get me to Paul's party without spending too much, and I'm currently planning to leave for that around 6 if nothing else comes up... if it turns out that the drinking party won't be happening though, I'd be happy to take you along for the trip to Paul's party, to save us both on fare(Taxifarefinder estimates the trip will be about 14 dollars with 15% tip). You should let me know what you're going to do quickly so we can plan how to meet up and go, though.

                    • !mnbronies So there are two places to go to for the Premier?

                    • !mnbronies @shadowflame So, do we know what the fate of the drinking party is? After checking the address for Paul's party, it appears as though there isn't a route that'll get me in walking distance, so I'm pretty much hanging on the edge of my seat waiting to see how this turns out, lol.

                      • !mnbronies @shadowflame Ahaha yeahhh I keep forgetting it's so early; I was thinking of (rewatching?) showing sometime afternoon-ish (and now I'm donating blood at 1pm, sooo)

                        • !mnbronies @sneakysnake Lol nobody's gonna be drinking at 8 am for a My Little Pony premier, at least I don't think. Looking for something I can just spend the night and not get up at 6 am to get to someones place to make the premier.

                          • !mnbronies A general post; I heard back from the Geek Partnership Society, and while they cannot do THIS Saturday, the next Saturday is open (Sept 24) for now. I figure this would be an afternoon event showing a recorded copy of the episode. :P They have a huge party-style room that's $20/hour, a smaller room that seats 40 that's up to $6/hr, and a smaller private lobby that seats only 15 for $4/hr. Outside food & drink are welcome, though no alcohol. http://www.geekpartnership.org/ is in NE MPLS in the Waterbury building. Which also means bus access! ......If anyone is interested in this idea, let me know? You do have to pay in advance to rent space, and I'd ask folks kindly to toss in like a buck each or something to cover the rental fee; I can't really afford to pay a lot out of pocket myself to cover these things, sorry :C # ...I'd also like to get a rough idea of how many people would actually show up.

                            • !mnbronies @shadowflame I'd be willing to host an impromptu-sorta premiere party Saturday, but I can't host folks for a sleepover Fri night, and my house could only handle around 10, give or take a few, at most. :C (On the other hand, I'm in north Minneapolis and booze is okay here as long as you keep it under control, no puking in corners plz). I also heard back from the Geek Partnership Society about hosting viewing events there, they are located in NE Minneapolis at the Waterbury Building.

                              • !mnbronies @primev2 You're a pretty social person, don't need booze in yours system to have fun. Hopefully I can figure out if this is happening by tomorrow evening.

                                • !mnbronies @primev2 Well there is one other potential party, it's a drinking premier party for us 21+, and it's not even certain yet. Other than that I got nothin atm.

                                  • !mnbronies Paul Hoffman is told me he would be willing to hold a premier party. I've been to his place before and he and his parents are really cool people. If you'd like to contact him about the premier you can call 952-898-2606 (house phone, ask for paul) and find out address and time of the event. He lives in Lakeville.

                                    • !mnbronies So I know I'm way behind now, but it just occurred to me today - anyone thought about seeing if the Geek Partnership would be willing to host a premiere, or at least future viewing parties? http://www.geekpartnership.org ..I know they have played host to some other local events, though MLP may not be welcomed there or 'geeky' enough IDK. Maybe if we offered something like everyone tosses in $2 to donate to the GPS, and bring your own snacks/drinks? I'm not sure - e-mailing the GPS and asking too many questions about it.

                                        • !mnbronies It is now one week until the season two premier. Right now we need to figure out who is willing to hold premier parties. Conditions for volunteering: 1. Must have The HUB (obviously) 2. Must have plenty of sleeping space, or at least willing to let people camp out in a tent in your backyard. BYO tent. 3. If you live with your parents you must get their permission for several strange people to sleep over (lol). If you're interested in offering your place to hold a premier party Friday evening please @ me.
