@redback I did a mini trip into Greece from Italy during my 2 month backpacking trip through Europe, Greece, particularly Athens, is not as scary as the news is making it out to be. Spoke to some locals who have lived in Greece their whole life and are so embarrassed by the things that have been happening. As long ad you stick to the touristy stuff, like it seems you will be, then you'll be fine. The ruins in Athens are incredible, they were doing major restoration on the Parthenon, and the whole acropolis was jam packed with hundreds of people, but just tune them out and enjoy the awe and wonder of these amazing structures, you'll have an incredible time. Have fun!
