  1. @adiwan Whoa, like, "show's over" finale, or just a season finale?

  2. Saw "Glass" yesterday. And, as my friend pointed out, it didn't really stick once I left the theater. I don't know why; it was actually really good. Terse atmosphere, well-acted, solid, steady pacing. Good story, well-told. Maybe it wrapped itself up a little too well. Maybe it was just too somber to want to stick around and play. !movies

  6. So, I have a cousin who was present for the Las Vegas country festival shooting. She was with a friend who was in the Army, and they got out OK, but still - ever decreasing degrees of separation. And now, for the other side: this man worked at my dad's work until Tuesday. https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-citrus-college-lockdown-incident-20190115-story.html I wonder what the national average "distance from victim/perpetrator" is these days?

  13. I got into the habit of having multiple web browsers installed when I was dabbling in web design, and I still do it. And then, rather than have multiple windows of one browser when I need to see things all at once (instead of in tabs), I kind of arbitrarily pick one that I'm not currently using. And then, all of my cookies and settings are scattered to the digital winds... And that's to say nothing of my filesystem organization. 10 years of tax returns! . . . somewhere.

  20. @nerthos I have considered that route. Or still buying it off of eBay because that just strikes me as funny for some damn reason.

  21. @mrmattimation Well, sure, but if you just disregard All Of That Inconvenient Stuff, there's never anything wrong with anything! Yay, zero accountability! It's the New American Way.

  23. @fluttershythetree Well, I was just thinking on how I miss the 80s and early 90s trend of making a kid-friendly version of or tie-in to a decidedly non-kiddie property. Like the Rambo cartoon, or Beetlejuice toys. I kind of wish they made a Breaking Bad Saturday morning cartoon, you know? Except, obviously, since we can't deal meth, he bakes cookies! And Jessie needs a new catchphrase....
