@scootabrew Her experiments had to do with poison joke and using magic as an earth pony. Very unstable and tricky things. She used the poison joke's DNA-changing power to release her inner magic in the form of temporary abilities such as telekinesis and floating through potions she put in her coffee. One day, her friends were out of the shop on business, and she began working on her final experiment. This one was different because it would release her alicorn-like powers permanently, to show the whole world that earth ponies were just as important as all other races. But through an accident, she was hit by several thousand volts of electricity, speeding her heart rate to a dangerous pace. She tried in vain to save herself by drinking the unsaturated and unstable potion. It released her magic in a deadly blast through her hair and eyes, throwing her into a suspended cloud of her own magic, which saved her life, but put her to an indefinite sleep and covered by a strong force field.

@scootabrew eeyup:3 She loved coffee, and would always get hyper on it before experiments. The sad thing is, caffeine and dangerous chemical tests don't mix too well.
