@starlightbolt It's gonna be at a convention center near the Flatiron building in midtown Manehattan, within brisk walking distance from the Empire State Building. And if you need accommodations, I will be hosting up to six bronies at my lab in Brooklyn for a sleepover afterwards. (Last time I had 4-5 sleepovers. I have 3 queen-sized beds to spare!)

@starlightbolt yea, mine's a recolor of rainbow dash. I'm too lazy to draw my own, so I just redid mane/tail and recolored. Technically, mine's a male, but it really doesn't make a difference.

@starlightbolt If you mean some kind of story that's system wide that everyone is expected to follow? Nope. That'd make it near impossible for new players to get in and be whatever it is they want to be.

@starlightbolt But there's other characters, like Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash that show up from time to time. But usually I spend more time playing with other people's characters, like there's a Honey Habanero who helps run a shop, so I tend to go there to RP meal-getting scernarios. (Even though it's right across from Sugarcube Corner, but there's not really too much character in there often unless somepony were invited, so I haven't been going there lately.) It's just a lot of scenario stuff, and some ongoing-stuff and lots and lots of stuff.

@starlightbolt Well, in Equestrian Dawn, I have three different characters. I have a hyperactive Retl-pony unicorn who tacklehugs almost everything he sees and talks a lot. I have Lady Splody, who's my best guess at an adolescent dragoness that can't breath fire. And another character that's not important. But in general, interactions between say Retl and Princess Luna are like HIYA WATCHA DOING oh magic And then get really distracted by everything ever as Luna thinks up really smart things.

@starlightbolt I've never really done chat-RPing unless you count IM messages or RDN. :B Though I've hung out on IRC to just talk, so if that counts...?

@starlightbolt Well, then, a MUSH is kinda like a chat room, but every person logged in has a character. You can look at the character to see what they look like, talk to characters, and perform actions as that character. And in the case that something IRL is relevant or if you just want to chat about stuff unrelated to the RP, there are OOC commands for the players to talk as players. Also, rather than being one "chatroom", it's more like there are a bunch of rooms together on a gridded map with descriptions of what's in the room and what it's like to be there. One can go from room to room exploring and find new things, and sometimes meet new players while looking around. For example, a pony starting in the Ponyville Square could go north to the marketplace where AJ tends to bring an apple cart, and from there East to Sugarcube Corner. (Stop me and ask questions if I'm getting way too confusing again. XD )

@starlightbolt Anything you've heard of or want to know about MU*? Feel free to ask me. :3 In a nutshell, MU*s are kinda like World of Warcract (MUDs) or Second Life (MUSHs) but with words instead of 3D graphics. For example, !EquestrianDawn is a MUSH, and there's not many combat mechanics or player-character stats, but it has systems facilitating roleplay, and it's pretty easy for anypony to have whatever kind of character they'd like. And if they get tired of something about their, it's always easy to change.

@starlightbolt. well there is a lot of varried information out there. Do you know anyone around you that does rp this way? Becouse your going to need to chosoe a telenet or MU client programa nd there are lots of them out there.

@starlightbolt I know! The Pony fandom is by far my favorite to be a part of. I've yet to see any serious conflict at all, and everyone is so loving and tolerating! <3
