@tigerdusk Good! Noisy! We never did quite get organized to play much, but we had fun fooling around with instruments nonetheless, and we watched the new episode and some random videos.

@tigerdusk yeah I know it would get kinda stale, thanks for being political about it though. the idea behind it is that this and monthly events are separate, and allow people with busy schedules to plane weeks to months in advance

@tigerdusk !vancouverbronies Whatever mood strikes us. There will probably be a good amount of pony music, but I'm quite partial to the blues and rockabilly type stuff, which is fun and easy to mess around with. If you have any songs you want to play, I guess make sure it's relatively well known and made up of simple chords. Or, just start playing a series of chords or notes or whatever, and a rhythm will start around you. Jamming is Magic. :) A few of my personal favorite songs to improv over are the ever classic Johnny B. Goode, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8JULmUlGDA , Rock This Town, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-0uOkg5onc , and Back in the USSR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxyISsA0Oh0 But really, as long as you're willing to make a fool of yourself, jamming is always a blast.

@tigerdusk Actually, I played tenor and bari sax all the way through high school. Got an award for my tenor sax playing in stage band. That would be cool to get back into sometime too, but a decent sax is so expensive.

@tigerdusk !vancouverbronies If my experience with other groups is anything to go on, I imagine a lot of people are lurking. Even half the number of people in the group would be a pretty big meetup, though.
