  1. !vancouverbronies More people should go to the forum. See why Vancouver Island is awesome.

  2. !vancouverbronies Hey Ocean is on YTV right now.

  3. !vancouverbronies Well, just before the showing, we managed to pass Calgarybronies as the second largest group on this website. I've been watching and waiting for that to happen ever since I joined this website. We should pat ourselves on our back for our arbitrary and pointless victory. We are better than Calgary though apparently, or at least more loquacious.

  4. @axalyss Just some people talking a little too loudly, making jokes that were perhaps just a little too... er... crude, not taking into mind just who could hear them, and not realizing that not everyone shares their sense of humour.

  5. @darkw00d No. As BronyMike mentioned, during the second screening of the finale, Michelle Creber was in the audience, and some people were rather loudly making jokes at a few points that were merely... uncouth, to say the least.

  6. @darkw00d I'm not mad at you. I'm not mad at anyone, I'm like Pinkie Pie, I want to be friends with people no matter what, and I don't like people feeling bad. All I'm saying is that some people need to remember that some things have a time and a place. I was very aware that, among others, Michelle Creber and her mother were in the audience, and there were some people that probably weren't taking that as much into consideration as they probably should. I'll happily love and tolerate things that I personally find a little on the sketchy side, but people just needed to keep in mind that a 12 year old girl and her mother is a slightly different audience. I'm not saying it was you. I don't even know who you are, so I can't and won't point fingers. It wasn't any one person, it was just voices in the crowd... I just felt kind of ashamed by proxy, and I felt that needed to be stated.

  7. @mcstudz I'm not naming any names, I don't really care who it was. There is no one in the group I wouldn't be happy to hang out with. I was trying my best not to sound accusatory, but it's a little hard with a mere 1000 characters to properly convey what I want to say. Excitement is fine, some people just need to stop and think before they talk, as there's a time and a place.

  8. !vancouverbronies Made me feel really ashamed to read about the troubles with the second screening, as while it had nothing to do with me, the actions of one represent us all, and people will often cling to the negative aspects of things more tightly than the positive or simply neutral, and I'm disappointed for our fandom to impart such impressions on people such as Michelle Creber and her family. The main reason I haven't been coming to weekly meet-ups is of course work, but a much smaller aspect is the fact that there are members of our group who I'm honestly kind of ashamed to be associated with in public. I couldn't name any names, or point any fingers, it's really not important enough to remember. I can't stress enough that there's no one I dislike. In fact, I'm looking forward to going to next Saturday's meet-up, and loved chatting with people at the screening. I like to get along with people. Just try to remember that for some things, there is a time and a place.

  9. !vancouverbronies Schedule's been changed this week, which is awesome. I'm working 8-4, so I can probably get to the library before 5:30.

  10. !bcbronies @bronymike Hey, there's a group in Abbotsford having a meet-up. I'm totally the first person to tell you this. Not Bronymike... he never mentioned it, I'm totally the first, and this is not a redundant message. http://www.facebook.com/events/313676072015517/

  11. !vancouverbronies So, I won't be at the meet-up this Saturday (at least not right away), as I'll be giving blood instead. On that note, who thinks that sounds like a good idea for a... well, not meet-up, but something. A Brony Blood-Drive?

  12. !vancouverbronies @tequilasunrise I'm feeling pretty depressed right now, changing Derpy just smacks of everything that was wrong with the old iterations of the show.

  13. !vancouverbronies @pinhooves Snowing at BCIT right now, it's been doing so for just over an hour, but nothing seems to be sticking on the ground. I hope it's still snowing tonight, 'cause my brother is visiting from the island, and I want him to see how the ambient light in Vancouver reflects off the falling snow and makes it almost bright as day in the middle of the night. It's the only thing I actually find beautiful about this city.

  14. !vancouverbronies Not going to be at the meetup this Saturday. Instead, I'll be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Warhammer 40k with a super-mega-giant tournament.

  19. !vancouverbronies @thunderdash They don't appear to be at ToysRUs. I don't really know the answer, but Wal-Mart would be your best bet.

  20. !vancouverbronies @mcbrony Yeah, it was a pretty awesome introduction, @tophat You were the guy from the bestest best part of BC right? So yeah, that was a ridiculously awesome meet-up. Also, it was crazy how I managed to run into you guys twice after heading off on my own. It was pretty awesome. Meeting that lady in ToysRUs again was just unbelievable, that was a crazy coincidence. Know what else was crazy? Crazy dude on the train. It's okay though, because "Hi, I'm Brandon." Yeah, this has just been an awesome weekend all round. Looking forwards to the next meet-up.

  21. @echron1000 No apology needed, I understand entirely, I tend to fly headfirst into things and be optimistic to a fault. I'm sure what you put together will come off much better. I'll be the first to admit that there are definitely people, not that I'm naming any names, in our group that I would not want speaking for me in any way, shape, or form. Make us sound awesome, you're one of the coolest in our group.

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 08:59:40 UTC from web
  22. !vancouverbronies @jdan Okay, apparently not everyone agrees with me. It is kind of short notice, so it would probably be best to meet with our group another time I guess.

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 01:33:14 UTC from web in context
  23. !vancouverbronies @redtie Apparently someone at iTunes derped and set the release date for 2011 instead of 2012. @jdan I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that you're more than welcome at the meet-up. It's not like we have anything productive to do, I doubt anyone here would disagree.

  24. !vancouverbronies How many of us are actually going to be at the concert? I'm planning on being there, assuming there's still tickets to buy at the door ($20, I'm going to assume they're not sold out).

  25. @mcbrony !vancouverbronies 15 bucks? Sounds good, I'm there. Also, welcome to the group.

  26. @vorpalbob I don't want to seem like I'm pestering you, but have you checked for my keyboard and harmonica yet? They'd be in a President's Choice plastic shopping bag.
