@goneairbourne There is a difference between Open Source and Free Software. The Open Source movement rejects the Free Software movement's ideas and focus more on the practical advantages of making software Open Source, instead of the social and political reasons for Free software. Remember: All Free software is Open Source (as this is required for freedom 1: "The freedom to study how the program works, and change it so it does your computing as you wish"), but not all Open Source software is Free software.
