Furry, brony, pet, unstable mess. Treat me carefully, please (especially with adult-themed content, that tends to kill my stability pretty quickly). I'm NOT omnipony. 1. Also, holy bananas RDN. Do you need to freak out about absolutely doleing anything? I'm merely stating that I met a nice vegan so that the "all vegans are annoying" thing is nonsense, and then state that it takes a lot of self-control to be a vegan, but somehow that turns into "Omni, papayas you, you're a worthless creature and vegans are no better than murderers." It's no wonder so many regulars leave this place.

  2. @thatonestocking If less people would eat meat, less meat would be produced and less animal life would be created to be slaughtered. That's basic economy. It makes no sense to create animal life and feed it if it won't make any money.

  3. @thatonestocking No, really?

  4. @nerthos And I don't think creating life just to kill it is justifiable, just like, most likely, nobody here would justify bringing life to a human child to lock them up in a basement, forcing them to do exactly as you wish and abusing them because "you created this life".

  5. @thatonestocking Except that being a vegan doesn't kill anyone, and being a meat-eater means you're responsible for the death of countless animals as well. Your comparison is completely insane, and I hope you can see for yourself why.

  6. @mushi Oh, I see. Well, friendly tip from the vegan I met: you can generally even cook a lot with just water instead of oil or butter (oil is apparently unhealthy, and butter is often not completely vegan).

  7. @mushi I wish you the best of luck then, seeing as you wouldn't even be able to eat most meals for vegetarians, as they almost always contain milk or eggs. It won't be easy, that's for sure.

  8. @kamikaze It's definitely an achievement to be a vegan and stay one. It would need quite some self-control.

  9. @redenchilada I love how you feel like I'm talking to you. If you're not a vegan-hater, but just a meat eater, I am not even talking to you.

  10. Today, I met a vegan. There are two possibilities here: 1. I met the only not-annoying vegan in existence or 2. All you vegan-hating meat eaters never met an actual vegan. Long story short: he was a nice guy.

  11. @darkw00d Tell you about this boring yet nicely progressive country? Sounds lame :P

  12. @toksyuryel It's a shame /home is better off separated from the rest. I really think I'd prefer / and /home to be together so that I don't have to worry about disk space, but that is risky if I destroy my system? :/

about 4 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  13. @toksyuryel I confused / with /root. But no, one disk only. I wonder about the sizes, though. / and /home will both be rather big. Guess I should look at my current Parabola system :x

  14. @toksyuryel Oh, I thought /tmp on another partition was a good idea. Guess I'll just go for {Windows | SWAP | /boot | /} then.

about 4 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  15. @omni Actually, I guess I'll put /root and /home together as I can't estimate their respective sizes well

about 4 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  16. @toksyuryel So, a sane solution would be: /boot | SWAP | Ext -> /root /tmp /home | Windows?

about 4 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  17. I wonder if there is a sane way to have Windows/Linux boot/Linux swap/Linux root/Linux temp or whatever would be good for a Gentoo system I will most likely completely break. I have absolutely zero clue about the advantages and disadvantages of "extended file systems". Hmm... *thinks*

  19. @mushi Right now Shinshi Doumei Cross, but she bought 50€ worth of mangas...

  22. @xeleanorxrigbyx http://www.rajeshrana.net/2010/10/12/grub-error-no-such-partition-grub-rescue/ should work. If you need help identifying your partition just give me the output of fdisk -l

  23. @xeleanorxrigbyx How did you create the dual-boot? Normal CD installation or Wubi (That weird "installer" you use inside of Windows)?

about 5 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  24. @nerthos I can only imagine the possible headlines you will make one day.

about 5 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  25. @zeldatra Thanks for that, would've missed it otherwise.

  26. @xeleanorxrigbyx I don't use Ubuntu, but I have some general Linux knowledge. What can I help you with?

  27. @broniebrown OwnCloud was a bit buggy for me, but I wonder if I could run LAMP and some game servers on a NAS, or if it would be too weak for that :x

about 5 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  28. @broniebrown Ah, I see. How useful are those NAS things?

about 5 months ago from MuSTArDroid in context
  29. @broniebrown New to Arch? I'm at the point of leaving Parabola (libre-Arch) :P
