  9. @xvinylscratchx That's alright, anyway I noticed you were saying that it being a shipping fanfic kind of bothers you and I was thinking at the time, well it shouldn't be that bad, right? Now that I see the fanfic picture and the idea of the two background characters being together, I think I understand what your getting at.

  10. @xvinylscratchx Can you give me a link to it? I want to see what fanfic your talking about.

  11. @xvinylscratchx ... Fimfiction offers several ways for you to track your unread stuff so you remember, like your fav's list and read-it-later list XD

  12. @xvinylscratchx @thehighlander Had a feeling it would be along something like that, but if it's really that sad of a fanfic, then again I think it would be difficult to get someone to read it to begin with if they knew what its about and don't like the idea of it.

  13. @xvinylscratchx Talking about the my little dashie fanfic btw.

  14. @xvinylscratchx Just curious, would it make someone who has no idea about MLP cry if they read through the whole thing? That would be hilarious if I got a friend to read it and they cry afterwards, especially if they aren't into that kind of stuff.

  18. @xvinylscratchx I haven't read that yet, I keep hearing that its a very sad fanfic. Don't spoil it for me though, I'll eventually get around to reading it, just waiting for the right time to.

  19. @xvinylscratchx Yep, there's a couple of fanfics I can think of right now that would fall into that category.

  21. @xvinylscratchx @thehighlander I've been recently getting into reading fanfics, so I haven't really read many so far.

  22. @xvinylscratchx tht's aside from what I'm saying. I'm saying that you will get a better understanding of how to write stuff by reading stuff. And by reading stuff I mean good, professional published stuff. And not terrible stuff, but New York Times Bestseller stuff. They're on that list for a reason. You read lots of fiction, you get a good grasp on writing styles, tone, voice, perspective, etc.

  23. @xvinylscratchx @tekkdan reading published fiction helps solve this problem. It's like how musicians need to listen to music before playing music, if they want to write anything original.

  24. @xvinylscratchx I have the exact same problem! It's hard for me to get the image of my story in text since the readers not gonna know what your thinking. It would help if I had the time to actually sit down and try to type one out though. I just lose interest even though I would really like to create a fanfic.

  25. @xvinylscratchx the sooner you write, the sooner you can learn how not to write

  29. @xvinylscratchx - That bites. Thrift stores are the cosplayer's best friend. It's worth making the effort to get to one, though - assuming you have the time now. It just isn't the same with CDs. :)

  30. @xvinylscratchx - Can't find any LPs? Have you hunted around at the bigger thrifts stores?
