@cutesaurus Not sure, it was a design decision, because Lauren Faust's original concept art for Pinkie Pie did have wings, so they were removed later. I expect they wanted to balance the number of types. Hey, I'm back from a convention in Florida. Rainbow Dash and Applejack showed up, and from what I hear they'll be at Dragoncon, and Big Mac will as well. Anyhow, there's a very cool piano-rock musician, Matthew Ebel, at http://matthewebel.net/ who is also a Brony, and sings geeky sorts of songs. He had a live performance at the con. Much fun.
