@bitshift Jup. This bugs.launchpad.net article sort of blames partmon. And knowing how you normally install OS's I am going to say it crashes before the whole partitions thing, OR before the "can you test your keyboard for me ?" thing

@redenchilada okidoke. I think it'd be cool if @minti helped out some instead of playing games, but I know how games are so addicting and coding can be tedious. (For all I know he's been busy with real work.) Teamwork takes away some of that tedium I imagine at least.

@widget There's one or two small things I commited to my branch a day or two ago, but those should move over easily. Give me a shout when you make the upgraded code public. Is there going to be much frontend change from the upgrade?

@widget Wasn't there a problem with upgrading? Public not being the default timeline anymore. Has that been overcome?

@minti Well there /is/. If all you were to actually do with it is run the mailserver, you could probably reliably fit postfix onto one of AWS's freebie instances, or the DigitalOcean $5 a month plan, if you've got money. Then just configure your SN instance to log into the server via IMAP and firewall the mailserver to only accept inbound connections from SBN's main server.

@vt3c It almost saddens me how so many people are unable to grasp what SBN is supposed to be. The "dumping ground" part came after a second generation of users went to the place. It was at first just a place where everyone could talk freely but nobody went too over the line because they were grown people. I don't expect you'll ever understand it though.
