@mcbrony !bcbronies It's a dumbass at McDonald's at night. The only reason he was there was to get into a fight, and you walked straight into his plan. No harm no foul as long as we don't see some big "My Little Brawl" headline or you don't wind up in prison or something. You were fairly vague as to what you actually did in response. I figured out how to deal with cherries like that just after high school, though it does mostly depend heavily on context and tone and whatnot.

@mrphil Thanks. There was some three-day sale a while back with cheap shipping. I think the guys going to the Saturday meetups are usually pretty cool. Also, you've gotta come to Everfree in the summer.

@mrphil Hey there (may I call you Doctor, I am going to call you Doctor) Dr. Phil generaly the Saterday meet ups are little meets that happen between one and three pm at the bamboo cafe, I missed the last two but Generally its just a chance to sit down and talk with fellow bronies for a few hours. A bunch of the time, it winds up being a metro Trip XP

The books (total of five volumes) will most likely be payed by amazon(paypal) and will be around $80. might be more since shipping across the border will be a little more but that comes later. No profit is being made, you are strictly paying the labour of the printers and your shipping, nothing more.

@arctempest !bcbronies Yeah, that's the thing. EF is the entire large-scale northwestern Brony convention and compared to a lot of places people are coming from to attend, it's right at our back door. A "Bronycon Canada", as it would be, is pretty unrealistic, due to the crazy size of Canada, and any sort of central location would wind up being so much further away for lots of people than an equivalent US con would be. I suppose you can plan a very large-scale BC/Alberta/Yukon(?)/Washington(??) brony meetup/convention, it's just that with Everfree already having so much headway and being so close, it seems smarter to me to have more attendees save their money and just come to that one.

@arctempest !bcbronies Er, I just kinda went in a circle with my points there. Addendum: Planned well in advance, a really big meetup that's not quite on the same scale as Everfree could work very nicely as well, but just bear in mind the difficulty involved in planning all this. The simpler and the cheaper, the better it'll generally be, and the issue with Vancouver is that perhaps the simplest idea - some sort of outdoor thing like a picnic or barbecue or something - would be pretty damn hard to plan due to our weather patterns. Long story short, I'm sleepy and can't get my points across straight.

@arctempest !vancouverbronies Well, @bronymike and I were discussing such a thing with @afancorp there for a bit but it hasn't been brought up again in many months. A con is a pretty serious logistical exercise, though. Bigger meetups would be easier, I agree. And yeah, we know all about outdoor meetups and weather patterns...

!vancouverbronies: I have a question, who likes Fallout: Equestria? Enough to buy a Hard Cover set? A group of us have put our talents together to try and get the story as professionally printed as possible with one copy going to Khat him/herself. The task is almost done but what we are doing is trying to get more people to drive down costs. I am going through the process of going to a local printer here in Van and starting a hub, what is great is if I get prints made for you, I can bring them to you at one of our meetups. The more prints I have made, the cheaper it is for everyone. I will be trying my best amongst (64 hour work week) my schedule to get you the prices by this or next week. @bronymike !vancouverbronies: The story has been broken up into five volumes, I wish I had prices but my work takes up 12 hours a day as of late to find out. There is two ways this is happening. The main hub is in the USA and so far it is looking to be about 80$ ish depending on the shipping. How big the order is however drives the price down so we might just send the our order there and they ship to us.

@ponydude Khat is quite involved and rule number 1 is NO PROFITS, any cost is going directly to cover prints, that is it. hence why we are trying to get exact costs.

!vancouverbronies, look what I mean is that you can plan around it, I am sorry it is difficult for you that is why I put it to a vote and Saturday was decided that is also why I put the time to a vote, so that the largest possible chunk would be allowed to go. Don't say that it isn't convenient, I set up monthlies because you would be able to ask the time off weeks and months in advance and it is showing popularity, I feel as if your comment is targeted at me for the discussions of the group andhas me feeling as if you are specifically coming after me with the comment it also feels hypocritical at times. (exp: "Not saying anything should necessarily change, since this works for many of you, I'm just saying I don't think it's wise to brag about how this works for people with tough schedules.") I am sorry again that the Saturday meets don't work for you, that doesn't mean that the times are unsuccessful, and I didn't mean to brag I meant to state my intention.

@echron1000 !bcbronies Yeah, what happened with that? My computer decided to stop notifying me on updates to this group right around that time and as far as I know, nothing really came of it. Maybe the best thing for right now (since we're in the heart of the school year) would be to plan a meetup at Fan Expo. It's a ways away, but it's major enough that I think we'll get some nice turnout.

From what I've seen, Friday and Saturday are the busiest days at pretty much any part-time jobs. Most bronies are students, and as such that's the only kind of job they can reasonably do. Not saying anything should necessarily change, since this works for many of you, I'm just saying I don't think it's wise to brag about how this works for people with tough schedules. I'd rather ask time off for a more major meetup. Speaking of which, are we planning anything? There'll surely be ones at any conventions coming up, but other than that? Something on a Sunday maybe? A month or two away?
