At least it's pretty. Naughty Dog makes beautiful games. I'd argue their people are too good-looking in that you can see pores and stuff and it's kind of gross, but I respect that level of detail.

@bigpony It's got a bunch of artificial difficulty preventing what should be a fun game to play from being just that. It's like Dark Souls in that it's overrated trash that relies on it for any modicum of difficulty.

I just want to get through TLoU without playing it like a shooter. Why can't I just stealth? Why are shivs one-time use? Why is ammo so plentiful? This game is a collection of lies.

3 years later finally playing The Last of Us and it sucks.

@mrmattimation That was my biggest critical issue with The Last of Us. In terms of visual design the game looked great, the story itself is passable, and in terms of gameplay Naughty Dog are no stranger to really tightly developed third person shooter mechanics. However, the core narrative and gameplay are so rigidly divorced from each other that the game evokes this sense of the player being more of a surrogate observer than an active participant. The world is built to feel organic but because it's not working within the framework of the game but rather outside of it it comes off as hollow and artificial, as though through playing further into the game you're simply moving from setpiece to setpiece and not forming a natural progression.

@nerthos I don't doubt it. It was amusing and I'll be the first to admit it, but some people never grew out of it and now they have influence as adults with that mindset. It's like when adults say they fear for our future when they see kids 'nowadays' and we're finally seeing the first generation of that coming to.

The kids who were randomly posting racist comments and being jerks on 4chan 8 years ago have now grown into the alt right and that's truly frightening to me that THEY are now a legitimate political movement.

Clip Studio's animation suite looks alright, but why would you make an animation program without onion skinning? It's such an obvious program for animation studios, but it doesn't help streamline anything. So weird.
