@robinandersen9 did you get my message, hon? <hug!>
-
@robinandersen9 Fancy seeing you here... what's been going on? Didn't mean to lose track of so many, bit it's been... weird the last few years...
-
@redenchilada @surv1vor1993 @doctorscribus - What was that? You young punks woke me from my nap!
-
@keurentails !bronylon - Reliable rumour says they will be - something about getting enough of the show in the can for syndication first. It would be good to know for sure, though.
-
!bronylon - So, has anypony made a decision about going to see Hey Ocean on Thursday?

@xvinylscratchx - That bites. Thrift stores are the cosplayer's best friend. It's worth making the effort to get to one, though - assuming you have the time now. It just isn't the same with CDs. :)
-
@xvinylscratchx - Can't find any LPs? Have you hunted around at the bigger thrifts stores?
-
@keurentails - So, a sort of artistic arms race? (Okay, okay, but 'foreleg race' sounds silly...)
-
@keurentails - Which works great until everybody tries to stand out. Then you get lost in the crowd again, just in a different way. <grins>
-
@electrashock45 !bronylon - Welcome to Ontario liquor licensing laws... hard these days to find a venue that isn't making most of its money off alcohol sales, and the hay with potential 'underage' attendees.

@sallymustang - Oh, what a perfect pony (or brony) name...

@keurentails - Nothing strange about a deer in Equestria: in its Second Life analogue there've been two deer, two moose and one giraffe, though none of 'em (as far as I am aware) in the services...
-
@forestrain - Heh... ANOTHER blank flank. I've run across so many now that I'm beginning to think it's a social trend...

!bronylon - For those who have some freedom of movement but can't get time off on a Thursday evening, Hey Ocean will be in Sarnia on Saturday the 13th. I'm hoping to get to that one as well - I have very close friends in that city who can't make it to the London performance. If anyone here is thinking about going to that show there's some info at https://www.facebook.com/events/212469715550109/

@thefatalflame !bronylon Barring disasters (like the engine falling out of the Pontiac) I'll be there. It seems like the perfect spot for a meetup - reasonable ticket prices and, well, Hey Ocean are GOOD.
-
I am (reluctantly) glad I didn't get to Cantelot Gardens this weekend. I would have been somewhere around Fort Erie when half the exhaust system on the Pontiac would have dropped onto Highway 3, probably ruining one rear tire in the process. So on the whole I AM better off starting work on my new MLP plush and my 'Blank Ron' fursuit, in preparation for the next event...
-
@redenchilada - Tinned or fresh?
-
@redenchilada - Danged straight. Us old-timers hafta take care of our digestive tracts, you know.
-
@abigpony - Really? Maybe I should consider moving. (Though I can't think of ANYTHING that would cause me to actually eat at IHOP. Once was enough...)
-
@colfax - Not again...
-
@abigpony - 56, last time I looked. I am SO far outside MLP:FiM's intended demographic it's probably illegal or something...
-
@thehighlander - Funny, I never managed to develop a taste for Journey. Or the Allman Brothers, now that I think of it. But I don't think you'd find anything to dislike if by some chance you found yourself with my LPs and my old Dual turntable...
-
@abigpony - Let's just say that I had my fill of it between 1975 and 1978, shall we? ;)
-
@thehighlander - Okay, I'm curious: what music do you like from the 80s? Personally, I consider anything recorded after the invention of <shudders> disco to be too recent to be classic anything...
-
@thehighlander - One of the fun things about living a while (and paying attention) is that you get to watch entire bodies of knowledge appear and occasionally disappear. And if you're an SF fan you get the added fun of saying to people, 'Yeah, we actually used to believe that was true. Can you imagine? '
-
@thehighlander - That's about right, though the number of computers that were actually networked was very small. As late as the mid 70s a lot of high schools were still MAILING programs on punch cards to universities, for then to run and mail back the output. Something like RDN, publicly accessible and superficially trivial, would have been science fiction and less believable than 'Star Trek'...
-
!bronylon - How do, all... ran across RDN quite by accident, but it's just what I'd been hoping for: a decently robust (if a little idiosyncratic) way of finding other bronies to meet up with now and again...

@thehighlander - '#oldfogey' my left hind foot... I'm fogey enough to predate computers being networkable at ALL. Well, almost...
-
@welcomepony - A Party? I could use a party...
-
@fluttershy95 - I'm trying to calculate the odds of there actually being ANOTHER brony in the village of Glencoe. I didn't think numbers went that high... :D
