@gervase a trend where users would start a topic with a "real" looking title and then just post LUEshi instead of actual content. It got way out of hand after that.

It is interesting how, in my time on the internet, the concept of a "wall of text" has gone from being "Enough text in a single post that you have to scroll to read all of it" to "Longer than 2 tweets"

@nerthos I suggest wording all safety signs in the most complex and verbose manner possible, so that everyone who says "Tl;dr" ends up dying in accidents.

@nerthos To be honest "Stupid fighting" is way down lately. Illiteracy is a real problem. I imagine that the timeline is completely incomprehensible to users who aren't either well practised or native english speakers a huge portion of the time.

I think when you think "I'd rather be playing fire emblem" you know you've started playing a bad game.

@bitshift I suppose getting the...whatever the software equivalent of "Fit and Finish" is just right probably cost them a chunk of R&D money that they'd like to recoup. Combine that with (comparatively) lower unit sales and you probably come out to about the same price as a Windows license per unit.
