@ceruleanspark I think a lot of it depends on how much one enjoys Martha's character, considering she has to carry both episodes.

@ceruleanspark Storywise it isn't the strongest, but the emotional impact of John Smith having to accept his inevitable death, and the fact that every single boy in that school WILL die in the Great war 2 years from then gives it a bloody high ranking IMO

@ceruleanspark Yeah, that'd be way up there for me too. That, Midnight, Dalek, and the Family of Blood two parter would be my definitive RTD-era episodes. Moffat-era... that's trickier.
