  1. So, your mom is snooping as usual around your room while pretending to tidy up and she finds your Twilight Sparkle plush behind the headboard of your bed, then screeches in shock like the disembodied woman legs in a Tom and Jerry cartoon and starts asking who bought it for you. You explain to her that you bought it for you, and she starts rolling her eyes and going "You know...", "I don't get this", etc. You ask her why she didn't have a problem with all your Pokemon plush and your older brother interjects with "It's a show for 3 year old girls!" Yeah, interesting week for me. How she didn't find the Pinkie Pie one right next to it is a miracle. Anyway, I guess you could put my family down as one of those families where they like to push bronies around. I'd hate to think how they would have treated me if I were younger. Probably try to ground me or ban ponies or something in a crap attempt to make me "normal" like I've heard other people's parents doing.

    1. @quetzalcoatl over reaction much... my parents would question me, but i'm bigger than them, plus they don't ever go in my room, last time my mum fell over a metal box, and almost snapped her wrist, unlucky though. you should probably yell at them. a lot.

      1. @koen I don't think yelling will help at all. I think understanding is the key, and nobody actually listens to someone who's in a screaming rage fit.

        1. @scribus oh not like that, like to show them that you have enough of a spine to stick up for yourself. i had to do that once to my family, before that they treated me like dog papayas. now i've got more authority :P

          1. @koen Well, standing up for oneself is always good, but you can still stand your ground calmly.

              1. @koen True, true. And I can't pretend I haven't made my share of really bad decisions...

    2. @quetzalcoatl My mom and stepbrother already knows, and both just thinks it's mildly funny. Guessing the rest of my family will find out sooner or later, but I don't think they'll make much fuss about it. I'm pretty lucky with my family, it seems.

    3. @quetzalcoatl Yesterday, @thelastgherkin had a pretty good point about classic Disney movies having a lot of similarities to MLP:FiM. I'll try to dig it up, maybe it'll help?
